I say we invade Leighton's farm first, camp out.... watch Leighton work...

Guys., given how much spread we are, I think we should plan a photography tour some place closer to each other so we can congregate and spend time together to meet and greet and spend time photographing. I know our lenses have travelled across but I would wish that we meet and do tours when we can.
Hi, I could not go over all 6335 pages. I would like to know which lenses are best for landscape? I am particularly interested in lenses between 100mm and 200mm. Thanks, Jjcpa
Joseph, I prefer the monochrome; but it's a very close call.
As usual, I've been enjoying and Liking the numerous excellent posts since I last popped in. Here are a few more of my own images from August, 2017. The first one includes my brother (who lives in nearby Vancouver) shooting what used to be my D300 with MFNG mounted on it. Both of the first two shots were taken with the 16 f/3.5 Ai, and the third photo was taken with the 55 f/1.2 SC.

I would go for the 105mm f/2.5 (PC, K, AI or AIS) and 135mm f/3.5 (AI or AIS), they are really very sharp and uniform all over the frame.
The 180mm f/2.8 ED is an excellent lens but in my opinion lack a little on the side/corners sharpness, center sharpness of 200mm f/4 (AI or AIS) is not as good as the 180mm one but the 200mm it is more uniform, I will take it for landscape work although is not at the same level as the 105mm and 135mm.
My two cents
Ram, looks like you have it covered from wide to super-tele for the trip. Look forward to seeing the posts after your trip!
Huss, great combo with the F3, 35 1.4 and Fuji C200!!
Chuong, nice use of the 5cm f2!
Joseph, the B&W conversion does bring out some more of the detail, but I will go with Laura's choice of the color version.
Scott (Georgia), cool stuff with the FM and 35 O. FP4+ is a great black and white film, although I haven't been brave enough to try my own development.
Jay, love that last structure with the 24 PC-E.
Laura, it will be more like watching Barbara work But great idea Ram, let's see if we can work through logistics.
Glen, nice pics! Looks like you got your brother experimenting with Nikon gear!
JJ, the 105 f/2.5 AI or AI-s, or the 180 f/2.8 ED IF AI-s. Are you stitching these?

Df, and the Nippon Kogaku 10.5cm f2.5 P this time. This is the oldest F-mount version of the 105mm f2.5 Nikkor. And like Roberto said above, all the 105 manual Nikkors are fantastic.

Nice shots! I like the sunbursts in the 1st two, but the first one is very unique. I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that.
Though for us poor UK based people we have to consider the cost of just getting over the pond, and then the price of getting to areas we might not want to go to. ....... I prefer to travel to NYC or the eastern sea-board, or my real preference would be California, but then that is a whole lot more expense and toll on the body ...
Just my 2 penny-worth.
I have been engaged in a restoration project over the holiday period and the final part for the mechanical restoration arrived all the way from Palo Alto this morning. Just a plastic hinge, but seems one of the very few places that carry bits for old stuff.
So I now have the cosmetics to sort out.
I popped on the 105mm f2.8 micro
and shot a few pix of the project.
I bought the deck and tone-arm back in the early 80's and it saw good service for a few years, but with moving house and changing the sound system I ran, it got relegated to the also ran cupboard.
Looking on eBay thinking I might just sell the parts, I noticed the exact same configuration as mine, minus the cartridge for around $3000, which got me thinking.
So I'm now not selling, but using again. Specially as I have a reasonable collection (subjective opinion) of vinyl records going back to the mid 60's
So here are a few pix of the set up as restored but not tarted up yet. And it has had it's first play today ....

Sweet! Just last Saturday I looked at the turntable vs outdoor shooting at 10 degrees, the turntable won out. Hot coffee, some reading material and legs up. So nothing to share. We've gotten snow on quite a few occasions this month, but nothing seems to stick on the trees, it's mostly just brown on white.
My grandson taken with a Nikkormat FT3, 50mm f/2, Ilford FP4+. I know it's a little soft, but not too bad for a handheld 1/8sec exposure. -Web (1) by Scott Poupard
