Kristina, Anouk and I wish all of you a healthy and happy 2018
Samy, thank you. Anouk is 14 months old now. She was 2 months old last Christmas. But in that picture, she does look a bit like a 2 year old indeed.
Scott, I love th elight in your wide angle shot
Rafael, what a coincidence. I saw a sundown like that one just yesterday. Unfortunately I had no time to stop and take a picture. I'm glad to see you did find the time
Scott (Poupard), I envy you for the skill to tear down a Nikon F. Beatiful work! The F is most likely my all time favorite camera, even if it has afew rough edges
Don, thank you for th ekind words. She is agift indeed. To us, but also to everyone we meet. Anouk tends to leave an impression on every life she touches. Even when it's as briefly as during the wait in line at the supermarket counter
Leighton. I hope your words come true. But so far, 2018 starts with a $1500 bill that needs paying
Kevin, I think I have to agree. 2017 was a year with few ups and many downs, and it stayed like that up to the very last day. My new years resolution for 2018 however is to leave growing up for next year.
Louis, I fixed that link for you
Very good timing, and I love that lens, so I know how tricky it can be to make it sing like this
Damn! Jeff! That looks like someone shoots a laser at our precious planet! Very nice
Ray, happy new year to you as well, and also to those brave swimmers. You won't get me in the water even on a good day, but most certainly not when it's as cold as it is these days
That’s definitely a larger polar dip event. Quite a few spectators were on the ice today when it started to crack and three was a scramble to avoid wet feet. Not too dangerous water only about knee deep this time of year.

Rainy, windy overcast I have had socks on again for 2 days
I start getting depressed when I don't see the sun for 3 days
I start buying things that I don't want or need
