Dan, welcome to the thread. Beautiful scenario's debut series!
Steve, loved the jazz player set
Back to t he old slides, now that I finally get a near mint D810 (with just 1.590 clicks), all of my slide digital dupes will use the high resolution of this body.
The recently sold 400/2.8D AF-I generated the resources for the camera lust

Peter, I had to look up what the word rosemary meant in the dictionary : well it's "Romarin" a typycal and strongly scented provencal herb indeed.
You made me laugh with your "gigelot de agneau"... I guess it was a "gigot d'agneau" but "gigelot" sounds in French like "gigolo"...
Seems that "Clementine" is closed now...too bad.
Phillippe - it was actually a lamb shank not leg of lamb which should have been (I think!) jarret d'agneau apparently. In any event it was delicious and well worth a laugh

Did someone say lamb shanks? Here's a product shot I took with the 55mm f2.8 that we use at the market.
Folks, is there a favorite 58mm among you? I am on a quest since I adore my 50mm 1.2. A 58 should be an easy restoration if the glass and aperture are good.
These are a nosy bunch of guys though, so take time to fill out your profile here, listing your first name, and your gear. Mine could be scary if you peek

Thanks for the likes and comments on my previous set. Perhaps I should go down there again and make pano-like shot of the wood and the pier..
It seems all of a sudden a lot of posts came in, is the inspiration back?
José, great bird shot with the 600mm, very nice! And that 400mm shot with the D810 is spectacular!
Rafael, very good shot of Abraham. Let´s hope for the best with the operation!
Ronny, gorgeous shot of Haifoss! HGow I wish to spend a few weeks on Iceland and shoot some of that beautiful nature!
John, nice morning shot from Seattle!
George, that 3.5cm seems to render very vintage-alike, or is it just the pp? Nice shots!
Scott, beautiful shot from Watkins Glen State Park. These kind of shots can be really hard to expose the right way. This one is really good!
Colin, cool shot of a cool bridge.
Steve, looks good with all that whiskey. I know I wouldnt be able to play very good after a few whiskeys
Choung, love that 50mm film shot!
Mark, love that last b/w shot!
Leighton, that looks absolutely delicious!! Now you made me very hungry....

Hi Dan, Well besides the Noct, the only options you have in Nikkor glass are the Non-Ai 5.8cm f/1.4 or the AF 58mm f/1.4G. I risk banishment for even mentioning the AF version Kidding of course!
Seeing you shoot a D750, you would need to either find one that has had the AI modification of the aperture ring, or do it yourself. The Nikon Df is the only Nikon digital camera that has the flip up metering coupling lever that allows mounting Non-Ai lenses without modification.
I highly recommend picking up this used book: The Complete Nikon System (an Illustrated Equipment Guide) by Peter Braczko
It covers everything Nikon from the beginning to about the year 2000. Great reference guide.

Thanks Kristian, only pp was adding a Fuji Neopan 1600 profile to them in Lightroom. The lens does provide a great vintage rendering. 52.5mm equivalent on the X-Pro2, so it does lose some of its character by being on a crop sensor. I have been very tempted to trade all the Fuji stuff in on a used Leica M9 so I can get full frame with these lenses. In the mean time it is black and white film in the old Nikon S2 for 35mm coverage.

Ouff! The Leica M9 will probably be great, it seems very interesting! Go for it! (but dont forget you can buy lots of nmf-lenses for that money )
I sat in front of the computer a few days ago, drooling over the Hasselblad X1D a 50MP monster...But that would be about 220000USD body only.... But that´s just too far away though....and I would´nt be able to shoot nikon lenes on that one.
But I´m a little into changing the D800 for a D750. I need to take a little drop down in picture size..
I dropped into the KC Ren Fest yesterday for a couple of hours with the Df and a bag of lenses, the 18 3.5 Ais, 35 1.4 Ais, 55 1.2 Ais, 85 1.4 Ais and 105 1.8 Ais. Here are a few to get me rolling, more to come this week.

I actually looked at a good used M9 at a brick and mortar store over the weekend. If I unload my XT-2/accessories and some Fuji primes, it would be about even. If I dumped the X-Pro2 as well, I would be in the black. I am thinking about renting one for a week and give it a good test drive before I do anything.
Since I have a great Nikon S to Leica M adapter, that would give me 28mm to 135mm coverage with Nikkor rangefinder lenses and my Df for the F mount lenses. Perfect world This week anyway
