I've finally gotten around to processing a few images from 2026. This little set is from a vintage car "Show 'N' Shine" in nearby Qualicum. This was the first time I've been to this show, which turned out to be an extremely popular one, maybe because it was on Father's Day at the start of the season. These are brought to you by the 590 nM converted Fuji X-T2 and 2.8cm f/3.5 H.

Not quite as pleasing as the first egret image, but a much longer distance and harsher light, 400mm f5.6 AIS with the TC-14E.

As much as I like this thread I feel frustrated when I use (manually focused) Nikkor AF lenses on my Sony. I have looked for a thread to post images taken with Nikon AF lenses and found none.
There is a thread for MFNG photographers using AF but it is very quiet.
The Nikon DSLR thread doesn't fit the purpose.
The Nikon Z accepts adapted lenses if you use a Z camera.
I could of course initiate a thread but absent an active community I guess I would quickly loose interest.
I am quite happy posting currently my pics on the Sony FE image thread that is very active but I might one day shift to a Nikon camera and will loose "legitimate" access to posting on that thread. I will then shift to the Z thread but still nothing for images taken with Nikon AF lenses.
Did I missed something?

Both images are nice.
In general either form is good for prints. On a computer screen? Landscape. Typically the screen is going to shrink the pic until it fits anyway (though for some reason the FM website doesn't), which means the vertical resolution is the same but the sides are cut off. Of course that's a technical criterion, not an artistic one.
