This is an amazingly good lens for close-ups greater than 1:1. For stacking at less than 1:1 I use the 105/4 bellows lens.
I finally have new glasses after the cataract surgeries. The process has taken 5 months, but the whole world is amazingly sharp. It's as if I'm seeing everything for the first time again. I hope to get back to more conventional subjects now that I'm not relying on stacking to make up for my bad eyesight.

Hey Ken! congrats on the glasses.
Almost all El-Nikkors are 6 lenses in 4 groups, but I found the 63mm f2,8 N was special. It is special reversed, and shooting rear to front. Don't know why? Both of your stacks are beautiful.
The thought has crossed my mind. The occupational med doctor is trying to see if there is another spinal surgeon available to take a look. I’m also planning to call the workers comp people as well on Monday. This has really gone on long enough.

You might need to lawyer up at this point. Cauda equina syndrome is no joke. Before my surgery, it was a constant question they asked me as well. My fusion was L4-L5 and L5-S1, and it affected my left leg and right foot. Glad I had the surgery, and I lift up to 70 pounds now at work with proper lifting techniques, but the repetitive bending and lifting isn't all that great for me either... Starting a new bid next week.
