Aires Automat TLR with its little Nippon Kogaku 7.5cm f3.5 taking lens, and Fuji Neopan Acros 100. Normally Acros 100 is very contrasty, this is the second Acros roll I have used recently that came back from development with surprisingly low contrast, had to bump it up a little in Photoshop.
Taken with D610 + Nikkor-S.C 55mm f1.2 ai'd, ISO 100, wide open at 1/1250s.
This combo is a 58x2x2.7= 313.2mm focal length. The hood is from the 50/1.2: HS-12.
And the results (all wide open!) at ~ 2.5m of distance from subjects:
All shots V1 + FT1 + TC201 + Nikkor-S 5.8cm f1.4 (= 116mm f2.8) + tripod, ISO 200, wide open at 1/320 to1250s; 75% cropped (7.5/10MB).
I was surprised how good is the sharpness of this lens wide open even with a 2x TC! Supposedly this occurs because the V1 is using the sweet spot at the centre of the lens.

Jose very cool, once again your bird shots are spectacular. I did the math and your equivalent focal length was 313.2 mm using the V1 crop. Spectacular!
I'm sad to report that Pete Turner, one of the greatest Nikon film photographers of all time died 2 days ago at age 83. For me, no film photographer ever did color as effectively as Pete Turner. His colorful jazz record album covers in the late 60s for A&M records (on lps by Wes Montgomery, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Herbie Mann & others) inspired me to get into photography. Hopefully there's a few other older guys on the MF thread who recall his work.

Great scene with the lights on the boat against the inky water!
Thanks Samy.
I've been in a lull the past year and am trying to take my camera bag with me more often lately.
It's a pain taking the camera + lenses along with my 12lb mobile workstation 17" laptop, but occasionally I'm glad the camera is along.
Statue of Hindu goddess Saraswati with students hard a work. Saraswati represents knowledge and education. This is at the Thai embassy in Washington DC.
Jose, you have the ability to pull off superb shots from every combo of lens and camera you have! Good show off of the venerable 5.8cm 1.4 S capability!
Ani, another demo of the wonderful 5.8cm, very nice!
JohnK, welcome, great scenery with the 28 2.8!
Kristian, another lovely scene from the south of Sweden. I looked up Kullaberg, its a nature preserve with birds and an old lighthouse. Its website (google translated in my case ) offers beautiful views with breathtaking rocks. Glad to see one of those views here!!
John, glad to see you are at it again with the Northwestscapes!

Thank you Samy. Yes, it's a really beautiful and powerful place. When the autumn storms arrive to the coast it's a really mindblowing place to be Lots of bird life and it has one of the most diverse marine life in Sweden, its where brackish water from the baltic sea meets the atlantic salty water. Many divers go there to look on the beautiful uw world It's a great place to go and take photos as well. Some time soon we'll go there again, I'll be back with more posts this fall

Slowly slowly getting back into it, took the long way to the store today, lol, like as in 5 miles in the opposite direction. Today's humble offerings.
These are done with the D810 (thinking of letting it and the D500 go for a D850) and the awesome 50-300 F4.5 ED AIs.
A question for the bird experts here as to whether I am seeing an Osprey or not in the last image, sorry, this was a very long distant shot so I will see if I can go back tomorrow morning with a longer lens and D500 and catch this and the eagles in concert.
