Thanks Kristian. I'm glad you've not experienced severe weather conditions. You'll have enough to deal with the reversal of the gulf stream expected as a result of ice melting because of climate change that will return northern Europe to the ICE AGE...
Of course, that interpretation of what is transpiring in climate change has been contested. A contrary theory says slowing or reversing of the Thermohaline Circulation will have a moderating effect on global warming... You could end up in the same place as you are right now... not too bad.
Happy shooting at your gig... and yes, please do bring at least ONE manual focus lens so we can play with you....Show more →
Ohh...let´s not hope that´ll happen to the gulf stream in a near future... But the ice age will come, sooner or later. In fact I saw on TV that the CO2 levels havent increased for a couple of years. It´s been on pretty much the same value, but still too high of course...
I promise, I´ll even bring more than one. Considering the NC-24/2.8, 35/2.0 ais and perhaps the HC-85/1.8 and/or the QC-135/2.8. It all depends if I decide to bring the 80-200/2.8 af. I´ll see tomorrow and promise to share some on the forum as well
28-50 and 50-135 Yesterdays Old settlers Days which is a tiny carnival and fair here. The leighton Lens rocks! The 28-50, ehhh, it needs to stay on the shelf, lol. Should have just taken the 18 3.5.
I am about 10 pages behind, but do have to report I saw a Leighton Avenue (or was it street) just north of DC.
Trying to peruse the previous few pages, so Sue, and Rafael's brother, are also in Florida? Reagan and Ken are both sticking it out. Hope the storm passes through quickly and without too much impact on the state.
The hurricane seems to be shifting a bit west when it turns north, so the east coast may not be hit as hard as central Florida where Ken live. It is obviously a guessing game at the moment. Sue is settled, though she made one last attempt to get an airline ticket... to no avail. Now it is a matter of waiting...
No Samy. She is in Boca Raton on the east coast of Florida, above Fort Lauderdale and below Palm Beach. She is in a very secure building. The concern for her and her family is whether her mom's ground floor condo in Delray Beach is at risk for either wind or water damage. If it is, Sue is likely to remain in Florida for an extended visit to secure new housing for her mom who is physically compromised. Right now they are simply waiting for the storm to arrive... She's health is much better but she definitely has limited resources herself, so I'm hoping the storm leaves that condo intact.
Boca is where I have been before. Used to have relatives there, but they moved and are now renting their condo out. Its right on the waterfront and that whole strip is under evacuation.
Still have someone in the town, he's fairly inland and is considering going to a shelter. The latest track seems to be westwards, so Boca and Delray areas may be somewhat better off and Sue's mom's condo should hopefully be okay. But that track does go closer to Ken.

Oh, I understand why Fred did it. He has to make a living. I just get mad that advertisers have that kind of influence.
I posted to Fred's OP and said that if everyone who spent time on this site paid for a subscription, then maybe Fred could get rid of the advertisers.
I've never paid any attention to the ads before - but looking at them now - they're all for Australian products and services. I'm seeing Australian advertisers (who I assume don't even know about FM). Mostly they're for big companies - telcos and insurance companies but some are for small companies, like an Australian grocery delivery company.
Is that the same for everyone? Philippe - do you see French ads? And I wonder if Ronny sees Swedish ads? I'm assuming all the US people are seeing US ads.
