That is so nice and clean, Kevin. I don't have my camera near and typically use NEF with overflow to the second card. I think what you need to change is the image quality should be NEF + JPG in the quality settings, in addition to setting the role played by the second card.

Maybe if you clear both cards completely, and double check the RAW+JPG is selected (plus their quality settings). Nikon claims the primary card will get the NEFs, and the secondary card will get the JPGs by default.
I figured it out. In the main menu, I had the camera set to put RAW on card one and JPEG on card 2. What I didn't have set right was in the "i" menu, I had the picture quality set to JPG Fine, not RAW + JPEG, thanks for the reminder SiMuMe.
I have to admit that the in-camera JPEG engine is actually quite nice. It isn't as flexible as the Fuji's, but it really can output some nice images.
Oh man! Snow and chocolate. Will be there in a few hours

It's winter outside but we are warming things up inside. Taken with the 180 f2.8 Ais and 55 f2.8 Ais respectively. Thanks for looking.

EDT - adding in The Edge at Hudson Yards. Spectacular viewing platform.
It was a tough decision between The Edge and The Rock but I think the latter is more involving being central rather than riverside.

Colin,
I went to your Flickr account to get a better look at "The Edge". I wonder what the insurance costs for that platform. Engineers love to push it, but to cantilever a triangular platform as far out as the building is wide has got to be a record of some sort. I think of Archimedes famous quote; "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world". *AND* it is packed with dozens of.people.

Jim,
If you are interested I added another on Flickr.
Closer view taken at 90mm using an AF lens. I like the glass floor.

Thanks.
When I brought the family to Chicago in 2006 - all the kids wanted to see the Willis Tower that has a glass-floor balcony called The Ledge that was featured in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It is on the 103rd floor - we got there, and all nine of us chickened out. I didn't expect that, but I ran into something similar the first time I rappelled off a cliff. Backing off a cliff holding a rope seemed insane, but somehow I managed it then. The glass floor looked like suicide.
This is Marnie from six years ago. The Canon 5D mark II in 2018 before I converted it to IR with the 50mm f1.2 ais @ f1.2. Metadata is incorrect. The 2nd generation dandelion ai to eos adapter wrote 50mm f2 to any lens attached..

One more... Kid is growing like a weed! About to turn 9 in a couple weeks. She loves to swim and is learning techniques and strokes for swim team.
Kind of blows my mind that I have been in this thread longer than she has been alive.
Nice. Sometimes it feels like time flies but when you live with them it can feel like a lifetime. Congratulations. One of the boys also turns 9 in a few weeks.

Nice! My youngest was born on the Winter Solstice. How about your boy?
