Belated congratulations on your retirement Scott. I have taking a few days off from constant churn at work. Keeping my eye close to retirement too.

Mmmmm. Looks great.
That bread wouldn't last long if I was in your kitchen.

All the best gang!

The lonely red leaf is nice, but this one is at a whole different level. I love everything about it. Definitely needs framing.
I can smell those images Jim!
Wonderful looking bread and love the table setting! Enjoy today!

Thanks Scott. Sometimes when I'm out and things don't cooperate, it actually forces some different thinking.

Thanks, George! It's hard to believe it's finally here!
I love this shot. I have tried to capture similar shots, but have never been successful. This is what I have been going after.
I went to one of my favorite locations to shoot a 100' cascade falls. Water flow was light compared to other trips but still worth the climb down. I have posted from this location before but not from this vantage point. With the leaves off of the trees you can have a view to the top of the falls that you cannot see during other parts of the year. There is still a lower section but I have not made it down to explore yet. There was a lot of tree fall from what I suspect is the recent hurricane damage, and I was hiking solo. So common sense prevailed, and I did not risk going down further with slippery leaves on rocks and no cell coverage.
I am posting a behind the scenes shot showing the camera/tripod to give some perspective to the location. The remaining falls goes off to the lower right of that shot. I am coming back in a couple of weeks for some mountain bike riding nearby and may give a try in the lower section.
PC-NIKKOR 28mm f/3.5 with about 5mm rise and a B+W ND 10 stop filter. Going long exposure and full milky blur on the water with a 30 second exposure brought out the flow a little more than without given the low volume.

Beautiful! So what does a 28mm for FF translate to on Medium format? Does the 50r have XTrans or the more conventional Bayer array?
Thanks Kevin. That would be approximately 22mm needed on a 35mm full frame sensor and it is a CMOS bayer filter array sensor. The 50R is the first iteration of the Fujifilm medium format digital cameras. I pixel chased and actually got the 100mp Fuji but ended up going back to this version from 2018.

Thanks Matt and others who commented and "liked" that shot. It was actually a critical handhold climbing up from the waterfall shots. I had to show it some due respect

George good to hear from you. That first with the tree roots is striking. Lots of great work on this page as well. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
