I went to one of my favorite locations to shoot a 100' cascade falls. Water flow was light compared to other trips but still worth the climb down. I have posted from this location before but not from this vantage point. With the leaves off of the trees you can have a view to the top of the falls that you cannot see during other parts of the year. There is still a lower section but I have not made it down to explore yet. There was a lot of tree fall from the recent hurricane damage and I was hiking solo. So common sense prevailed and I did not risk going down further with slippery leaves on rocks and no cell coverage.
I am posting a behind the scenes shot showing the camera/tripod to give some perspective to the location. The remaining falls goes off to the lower right of that shot. I am coming back in a couple of weeks for some mountain bike riding nearby and may give a try in the lower section.
PC-NIKKOR 28mm f/3.5 with about 5mm rise and a B+W ND 10 stop filter. Going long exposure and full milky blur on the water with a 30 second exposure brought out the flow a little more than without given the low volume.
