Reagan, it won't help you much, but I used quite a few printing services over here. I ended up ordering everything I have printed, and recommending, the one printing service that provides a goo dordering software as well as ICC profiles for every single medium they print on.
That does mean ICC profile management becomes part of the workflow as soon as printing is involved, but the results over the past 2 years have been very satisfactory.
I've used MPix, metallic paper. Normally if I'm getting photos printed, I will get larger than 4x6's though I've used Adorama too, and good quality from them on metallic paper too.

Does anyone use an online site like Adorama to have photos printed?
My wife tried the local Walmart and drugstore and the colors were horrible
looked nothing like the image
If she doesn't get some nice prints It will be my fault

Wonderful set Buddy. I do wonder why they leave the tails on sheep in Europe though.
Not all European tails have sheep on them. And most sheep do not have tails. But there are a few flocks that are kept in more traditional fashion. They get to roam pretty much free, and a shephard moves them from spot to spot, covering quite a bit of land actually.
Even though I know a thing or two about cows by now, I am completely clueless when it comes to sheep.

Scott - great old crane (that 2nd photo) Any story behind that?
Hi James, it was part of a show of old farm and construction equipment held locally. It is an annual event that draws equipment from all over this part of the country. Very cool to see this old equipment, most all of it in operating condition.

It looked operational. The dirt polishes off the rust, and if used enough can make it shine like chrome. That particular crane looked very old. - Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for the comments and likes. Well, it isn't a theory anymore. The Nikkor 300mm f2.8 ais is a great portrait lens. I just never considered it for the task, and was wrong. This is my youngest - Sam.
Rafael, thanks for the invite. I'd love to join you, but have a family commitment. Have a great time!
Here are a few from Northern California. Abalone season opened when we were there and the gang got some nice ones. The shells are beautiful and the abs (with a lot of white wine, garlic and butter) were delicious.

Most of the local photogs that I know here all use Bay Photo. Decent pricing, excellent results.
