Peter - I know what you mean, Ben and Leighton keep telling me I am getting old (Ben even called me a wimp...) :-)
I can't speak for Leighton but I have never said you were getting old. There was a time when you were forgetting everything and I made a crack about you having early onset Alzheimers - but note, I said "early", ie, you were too young to be so absent minded,
Now - two things about calling you a wimp:
1. Let it go
2. You were complaining constantly about how 35, 36 degrees was such overwhelming heat that you couldn't do anything, couldn't even press a shutter. Leighton and I merely pointed out that 35, 36 degrees was not really that hot and that your reaction was perhaps exaggerated: and yes, I did say you should stop being such a wimp....but that has nothing to with your age....it was joke which I have come most emphatically to regret.

Philippe - you have a lovely daughter and well photographed. However, these pictures bring home to me how I have aged on this thread!! She was a "little" girl and suddenly she is a beautiful young woman.
John Hinkey, please don't post pics of your girls. I already know how I've aged
Peter
Yes, they start High School in a week or so - now I feel old!
I'll need to post the first image of them ever on this thread and the latest. Yikes that will be dramatic.
Off to Eastern Oregon in an hour or so - should be an adventure for sure.
Talking about old. I was 32 when this thread started. I turned 39 today, and will really have to show you what an amazing birthday present I got from my daughter, who is, by now, 10 months old!
Can you, or anyone else, tell me why most of the T-birds only have a driver's side wing mirror?
Love the 'old guys rule' number plate.
Colin
Back then, if the wing mirror was available, it was most likely an option. Also, most roads and highways were one lane, each direction, and not really needed. My first car was a 1987 VW Fox. It didn't have a passenger side wing mirror either.
You're the same age as my oldest son... happy birthday Buddy

This is a continuation of the subject of the eclipse. I saw a wonderful video on the New York Times website that supposedly I can embed in this thread. Let's see if the link works.
Ken, cool 1s session. I´m sometimes trying to do that with my kids but they move too fast...
Billy, great work. Love that last shot!
José, nice shot of that leaf mimic creature. Love this kind of insects.
James, nice shots with the 50/1.2.
Rafael, great car shots as always.
Leighton, you still have growing season. My homegrown sallad is at the end now, perhaps I can harvest a few more weeks. The chilis are soon ready for harvest.. A little dream I have is to be a chili pepper grower and have a huge grow house
