Wow, that really gives a new meaning to context. Without the deer, the trees appear closeup and medium sized. The deer gives a whole new perspective to the size and scope of the shot! Right time indeed!
Here are a couple of contrasting Corvettes for Ken and Rafael, along with a (literally) smokin' truck, all courtesy of the 20 f/3.5 UD.
On an only slightly related note, the wildfire smoke has finally made to Vancouver Island after months of blowing the other way. So my plans to get out for some nature photography will take a hit. Oh well, it could be much worse; people in the Northwest Territories and the fairly nearby Okanagan Valley are being evacuated from their homes. And let's not even get started on Hawaii! I haven't been hearing much from the climate change deniers lately. I wonder why?

Wish you a quick and complete recovery Rafael.
Yes Rafael, they do not take any chances of having any complications with both eyes at the same time no matter how unlikely.
You are only born with two to a customer and no spares. Have a quick and uneventful recovery! You should be a very happy camper in a very shot time!
Just in case anyone here might be interested in growing their MFNG collection in any of the following ways, I have just finished listing these items for sale in the B&S forum (all product photos were taken with the 85 f/1.4 Ai-s on my trusty old D800E):

Was thinking of you driving thru Dayton as we looked for the Chinese restaurant off 75. Didn’t see it! That was a great place for supper!
It is George. The oldest rainforest in the World apparently and Sir David Attenborough's favourite location.
I didn't get another 28, I tightened up the screws again. The shift doesn't work now I've done that for some reason (locked solid) but I can't use that on the gfx anyway without vignetting as you know.

Magical place Andy. Would love to set up and shoot there! BTW - did you ever get a replacement 28mm?

Thanks for showing the setting for your excellent previous shots of the area! Looks like a great place to explore

Oh I love this set, Raymond.
Thanks for the comments. I think our next trip out that way we'll do another stop, hopefully at a different time of year. Most definitely worth a stop. I think this is the last couple with the 28mm MF lens, though I've added some different shots with AF in the "MF Nikon Glass" shooters shooting AF !! thread for those interested.
Interestingly, it says the date of Curtis' 1st post on the thread is 23rd August @ 5.40am on my PC ?
I tried to find my 1st post on the thread but got stuck in a vortex of diminishing returns and lost in the archive. I know I wasn't using mf nikkors when it started but don't think I was that late to the party?
Anyway, to quote the great Scottish poet Robbie Burns - "Here's to us ! Damn few and they're all dead !"
This place is pretty much the only place I post on FM these days and has kept me going through some hard times so a massive heartfelt thank you to everyone here. Exceptional images and exceptional human beings.
