Some street scenes at Williamsburg. Taken with the 35 f2 Ai. Thanks for looking.
Scott
Crisp, well composed street scenes Scott! Must have been at the crack of dawn, hardly any tourists other than you
Olympus OM-D E-M1 MarkII + adapter + Nikkor 300mm f/4.5K ED non-IF, hand held, ISO 400, f/5.6 at 1/400s. 55% cropped (11/20MP).
Looks like a plump well fed mockingbird Jose.
BTW, now every time I see a little bird attacking a larger predator bird, I think of the mobbing term you added to my vocabulary. A week or so ago I saw a small bird chasing away and pecking at a heron.

To keep the pace of the thread going, I'll post a product shot I was working on last night. Still work in progress with the lighting and angle.
Z7II with EL-Nikkor 135mm/5.6 on PB-4 Bellows. Swing applied to the lens to adjust the focal plane angle. Single shot no stacking.
George
Wow, what a setup! Hassy, and then taken with the Z7II and EL-Nikkor. Very cool product shot.

About 5pm I got tired of waiting for the sun to peak out from the clouds and smoke haze. So, we loaded up the scooter, two cameras, a footed carbon fiber mono-pod, and took off. The newly IR converted 5DmkII was sporting a 20mm f2.8 ais, and the trusty D800 the 24mm f2.8 ais. This way the scene can seen both ways.
You find some of the rarest Nikkors Rafael. There's a Tochigi Nikkor 300 2.8 on the Japan Camera Hunter site, its been there for a while.

Thanks for the many kind comments on the foxtail shot. Sometimes reactions to a shot surprises me, this is one of them.
Nice work in Williamsburg, Scott. Kudos for the excellent as usual work, but also for the extra effort at what I assume is an early start for good light and low crowds.
I don't know how you get the bird to sit still enough for you Jose, but you are the bird master. I'm sure your understanding of birds and their behaviors have a lot to do with how you manage to capture them.
Be sure to post the finished Hassy shot George, it's already a great start.
Great IR and visible light pairings Jim. Am I correct in assuming that IR can't do much with the overcast skies like make it dark like blue skies? Or perhaps draw out more patterns/interest in the clouds?
Very enjoyable skate park fisheye series Rafael. Really like the perspective of the concrete beams looking up.
Regina, that capital shot almost have clouds that almost look like a long exposure, but the people in the shot says otherwise. Like it.
Samy,
I am humbled at the work it took you to get such excellent results! My IR photography has become much more easy to shoot, and process. When younger I was confident I had the shot on the film, and now that I am older and less confident I get instant feedback (lucky timing). Like a Mark Twain quote I saw recently. "Education: The path from cocky ignorance to miserable uncertainty". Aging is strange.

Ray,
Sometimes, I can get a pearly or luminous glow out of a late afternoon overcast sky. Usually dull gray visible is the same dull gray in IR. Is this gorgeous Foxtail barley weed in Ohio? Google puts it's range at Idaho to California?

Samy is a real photographer. Results are outstanding, but not through some electronic sensor and software manipulation - it is thorugh the use of real film with real lenses on a real camera.

The Tochigi Nikon Rayfact 90mm 1:4 micro lens came, advertised as like new and so it is. I does have a focusing helicoid of sorts, very sturdy and heavy. Focuses from 6 feet down to 0.5X. VERY heavy, should maintain alignment forever. I does have an F mount but on a DSLR it may hit the ai tab, on the Z7 with adapter no problem.
Lens has no brand or lens info engraving, it is an industrial product with a plastic label, metal so thick you could drive a car over it with only cosmetic damage.
I di get it for a reasonable price, cannot be returned but I will have to decide if it is a keeper. Its main feature is the 82mm image circle, which may be attractive to George and others with larger format, for me 43mm image circle is enough,
