From specs to specs, I see no big different between versions. Thing I'd like to know in real life, does micro function has big advantage to others.
What I intend to acquire is 937147, pretty latest to date.
Thanks

Update: I've already 200mm micro, fair copy. This intention for collection purpose only.

I'll jump in with Scott and post one using the Zfc and Lens Turbo II. This with the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 Ais adapted.
After avoiding it for 3 years, Covid jumped up and bit me in the ass
Now isolated in my home office above the garage in the hope my wife does not get it. So tossing darts today waiting for fever to go. May break out the fly fishing gear tomorrow. Standby for boring pictures while I wait it out.

Sorry you are sick. I hope you have a quick recovery. If you are lucky, it won't be any worse than it was for me. It just felt like a bit of a head cold and a cough for me. The worse part was that it took about a month for the cough to go away.
Thanks! Saturday and Sunday sucked (like bad flu), but a lot better today. Now just waiting for the fever to stay away. Low grade came back late this afternoon. 😐

This is a set of waterfalls that I'm struggling to find the name of now. Tucked away in another Goblin Forest in the South East of the North Island, a place where I saw wild horses, deer, etc and an amazing gorge with completely green moss covered walls.
The colour, the water flowing through and out of the moss covered shelves/steps of
rock on one side and the small falls on the other, the fallen tree/log, wow, it was like something out of a Fairy Tale. A scene that I had as usual, all to myself. I did meet a fly fisherman when I was getting in my car, a chap from the USA in fact who moved to NZ. I camped nearby, a free campground, just me there with a waterfall and river of it's own (last pic)
A pano made up of 2 horizontal shots with the GFX50S + nikkor 28/3.5 PC
There is this 5 acre ranch for sale 8 miles east of the 15 freeway in San Diego county for $300K, I thought I would buy it for a retirement home, but my skills for carpentry and landscaping do not match the need.
It is also a little spooky! owner died a long time ago and the place remained abandoned. Would love to know the full story, there was a lot going on here at some point in time.
Taken with one of the very best MF Nikkors - 28mm 2.8 ais.
George,
Sorry to learn of your Covid. Like your mother always said - get rest, drink fluids, play darts. Well, guess she didn't say that last one. Some of my darts are made of interesting alloys, and have interesting knurls. Could be a still life that requires macro, tilt and shift....
Get well soon

Re: the 85mm, not sure what body you are looking to use it on, but the 85mm f/1.4 Ais is an great lens. It is big and heavy and I like using it on larger bodies but really no issue adapted on the Z7. FYI it has an image circle large enough where it covers 44x33 medium format sensors too.
It does have some CA wide open and can be fixed in post but stopped down to f/2 it is just incredible. Using a hood (HN-21) is recommended too.

I had Covid and it was no picnic, was having junk come out of my lungs for 6 weeks after i was over Covid, hope you get better.
On a different note, can someone recomend a 85mm manual focus lens for me ? Looking for good sharpness and good rendering.
Thought about doing a shot like you described, but they way it is mounted to the wall and 5'8" to center off the floor, it would be difficult to get the tripod to that position with out moving some furniture. Which I didn't feel like doing.
Watching the NFL wildcard game now and thinking about what to shoot tomorrow. Nothing but time on my hands right now.

It's been awhile since I've posted, so this is a test to see if I remember how.
Here's a local convent that was repurposed as an Alzheimer's care facility. This was taken with the 100/2.8 E on a Df during a recent break in the Portland monsoons. This little lens with its simple optical formula almost always amazes me. Since I couldn’t back up any more without trampling through a flower bed, an 85mm would have given a better view. But the best lens is always the one you have with you.
Get well soon George.
I hope you won’t get Long-Covid.
After over a year I’m still not healthy.

Bummer graduating from NOVID to Covid. Isolation is the hard part. Sadly, I think your wife is going to have it too, by the time you realize you're sick, those germs have gotten to everyone around you.

So sorry my friend. I hope you recover quickly and that your wife avoids it.
