Glad the tree did not damage any structures, Leighton. Give it a couple years you'll be well set for firewood, though that's a lot of labor to get there. Be careful if you decide to tackle that yourself.
Scott, what beautiful light. That sloping walkway seems to have quite a bow to it.
Great concept with the Christmas ball and circular fisheye Rafael! Good luck on that 18cm.
Riccardo, wonderful light and texture, nice splash of color in there as well.
Nice work with the super teles James and Phong. Plenty sharp to my eyes.

I own two 50-300mm ED ais, because methinks it is a great lens, but I NEVER thought of using it for bokeh, well done Phone, really good colors too.
I know it. Your lens and photos from it inspire me to buy in this lens.
I do remember those LBK sunsets. The Zota Beach hotel recently sent through some very tempting offers but the first half of the 2023 holiday calendar is already pretty full with trips to Switzerland, Cornwall, South of France and Scotland already factored in.
I could do with a few of those Floridian evenings right now given the weeklong constant sub-zero temperatures we have had in the UK recently.
How's the new car? It looks amazing and must sound wonderful.

Colin you may recall the sunsets at Long Boat Key
Here is a sequence of the setting sun posted to warm all of you in blizzard country!
The C8 is the BEST Corvette I have owned over the past nearly 40 years. It’s comfortable seating is great while at the same time the seats offer lateral support. I’ve got to hand it to Chevy. They started with a Ferrari 458 and designed a user friendly car that is just as fast and shares the 458s good looks.
The C8 has a sound management selector. It has three settings that range from normal to loud to what has to be straight pipes. If I cold start it in my garage I should have hearing protection on. It also has setting for steering and brake effort. It’s quite the vehicle.
We enjoyed the week at LBK despite the number of people visiting. LBK had the “Red Tide” where fish die and wash ashore. There was one guy from New York who surf casted daily. I can’t imagine him eating the fish. There were also “no see ums” galore. A tiny flying insect that’s all teeth. Pretty bad bites taking the sunset shots. They still itch.
Lastly I was walking across Gulf of Mexico drive, looking both ways and when I got into the south bound lane an approaching Tesla kept bearing down on me. As I sped up the Tesla slammed on the brakes, swerved into the on coming lane, swerved back onto the next drive way while doing a 180. The driver got out and shouted at me “I was on auto drive and doing 48mph. “. Well he was really upset and blew a gasket when I told him the speed limit was 35MPH. That was the most exiting part of the week. Damn Teslas!!!
Well if you decide you’re up for a Florida trip. Let me know.

Great susset colors Ken!
Understand your point of order on the 58mm 1.2. There should be little performance difference from the ai to the ais, I would offer a few hundred dollars less for an ai than an ais, being earlier and with less blades.
On the subject of Tesla drivers don't get me started, Elon's personality seems to infect those who buy the car.
This is my favorite sunset place, double peak in San Marcos , 6 miles from home. Old photos with the D3 and 55mm 1.2.
San Clemente island on the left and Santa Catalina Island on the right. San Elijo lagoon in La Costa on the left coast (pun intended), the powerplant in Carlsbad is no longer there, batiquitos lagoon still there.
Neighbors Christmas decoration in their front yard. Shot from my garage across the street, D3 with 400 AIS manual focused and auto focus using the TC16A. Non CPU data not entered, images only resized for the net.

Loving the woodpeckers Jim and the Christmas scenes/lights everyone.
The deserted Whakapapa Ski Field is almost spooky during close season. Kinda reminded me of an abandoned Mars Space Base. I can almost hear the commentary of the astronaut sent in to see what happened
That is spooky barren. Ghost town feel to it for sure

This tc16a sounds interesting. I assume exif is recorded properly.
I put in the exif data for this post. The TC16A list the lens used as 145MM. I checked this fact out on the web sites from both sellers on E-Bay for t he modified TC16A converter. The last lens i had set in was the 105 F1.8, so it put 105 for the MF shot and 145 for the auto focus shot.

No, the exif is is not recorded properly. However, you can correct much of it using Lens Tagger in Lightroom. This is one of those fun modifications like the Duron CPU pencil trick. You move one pin to a new position, and disconnect 1 or two soldiered connectors, and viola the MF lens will partially autofocus on the screw drive AF of many Nikon cameras.
