Beautiful Ray! I love fog photos, and it seems shooting landscapes with Nikkor micro lens works great at 105mm as well. I sure learned that late in life.

Another B&W from earlier this month, 105 f2.8 AIS Micro
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! May you and your loved ones have safe travels and good health in the coming year.
Tried a lens I haven't used in quite awhile - the 24mm f2.8 ais. It is sharper than my 20 and 28mm f2.8 ais lenses, but it does have a hot center when shooting IR - plus it flares (including veiling) with the sun quite badly. I remember going through a couple copies to get this one. It has a bluish cast lens coating, and negatively effects the IR color as well. Never-the-less, here are yesterday's IR keepers.
The way the weekend weather has been lately, I'm starting to consider doing some indoor gear/guitar/incense smoke/etc. photography just to feed my desire to take pictures. In the meantime, it is again looking like the right time for some more infrared images from October. These are from a trail walk by the Alberni Inlet with the 5.8 f/1.4 S.
A new tradition for our Thanksgiving Day started today. Hit the trail in the morning and work up an appetite for dinner
Trails were empty and the light was not bad.
Posting one from the falls and a couple behind the scenes. Not sure who that guy is.

Have plans to head out somewhere tomorrow afternoon with a former neighbor getting more and more into photography. Have a new to me loaner MFNG lens I can’t wait to test out! Hope the light is good! Enjoy your hike George!
This is the entirety of my RF Nikon equipment. Came to RF very late after getting the Z6. Nothing collectible here, but good fun. Forgot to include the bellows 13.5 cm.
My newest is the 3.5cm 2.5, after reading very positive reviews about it, my copy is rather disappointing. The lens is clean, clear, never apart, and good looking but my copy has ugly sides until f/8, then it suddenly sings. Jekyll and Hyde.
I wonder if these ugly sides come from using in digital camera, instead of film - George?

Nice tradition. Love the shot of the Falls, the tones are wonderful as always. I bet I can pick out one of your images without even seeing your name. Do my eyes deceive me, or are there a few more gray hairs on your head from the last time I saw you?
So, as I was confused by the poor edge performance of he 3.5cm 2.5, given the excellent reviews online, I thought best to compare to the 3.5cm 3.5 to see if my copy was defective.
Ran a quick comparison between the two at 1:4 and 1:8.
At 1:8, the 3.5cm 2.5 just blew past the 3.5cm 3.5 with a near perfect frame, while the 3.5 improved but still had somewhat weak edges.
Will call my 3.5cm 2.5 not defective, although my copy is not as good as the reviews made me believe - some call it "sharp to the corners at full aperture"
Will the edges be better in film? Will have to try.
Thanks! Yeah, there may be a few more gray ones there. Hitting 60 this year did it

I don't have my RF gear with me this week, but I know in both S mount and LTM mount, my 3.5cm/2.5s are much better than the f/3.5 versions. I really like my f/2.5 versions wide open. Nothing drew me to think the edges were bad. When I get back home and get some time I will take a closer look.

Thanksgiving day woodpecker visit while I was catching my breath after vacuuming the bedroom with the D7200 400mm f5.6 ais & TC-16A though the dirty slider glass. The woodpecker was in my neighbor's tree about 150' away. Softness is due to my heaving plus hand held shake.
Went out this afternoon rather late, and the sun set behind a ridge just as we reached the river. Armed with the 5D and the 16mm f3.5 ai fisheye here are some of the keepers. The bright tree tops are where the sun is still hitting the higher bits of the forest.
