My vision is about 90% back and I am driving again

I came across a D2X that was in better condition than I had many years ago. It just needed a new clock battery. Rubbers and everything else in great condition for 39k shutter actuations. I could not resist. I am currently a very happy camper.

I remember John used to post these long lens shots of the Sound. He'd park by the side of the road, on a slope facing the water and I used to marvel at the snow capped mountains (with an occasional tugboat too).

Beautiful shot Chin! You are getting back into the groove nicely. Great to see you back and posting again. All the best to you!

Thanks. I have very little shots with mf lenses lol. I brought the Fuji 14mm, Nikon 24mm f2, Nikon 135mm f2.8. Just the tube adapter, not the metabones 1:1. No filters (sigh, what I would have given for my ND filters languishing at home).
I took a lot of images with my Pixel phone, it's really quite amazing how it equalises dark zones and bright. Have a few bracketed shots now with my Fuji which I am loth to merge and mask out the areas that I want.
Had a few hairy moments on the trail because I overextended myself, kinda lucky I got out alive. Gotta see if I have the shots to go with the story!
James, congratulations and great photos on the handsome young lad.
Siphiwe, great captures and colors from the garden.
Jay, excellent waterfall capture.
Chuong, excellent capture of the green insect. It looks like a visitor from another celestial body.
It has been four years since last visit to the left coast. These are from the first stop heading from San Francisco to Carmel along Highway 1. What an incredible drive this is.
The small colorful restroom posted earlier is very close to this area.
Took a swim at a couple of beaches, not this one. The water is cold, probably enough to cool off Reagan.
That is a long cast just to hit the edge and a couple of seals checking out the action.
Serge, your beach pictures have that feeling of being there.
Great to read that you are almost there with your vision, Reagan.
Market shot has me thinking of days gone by and a bit worrisome too. It's almost as if Covid never existed here now. There was no outbreak all winter. I wonder if something's coming in Summer.
You really do see in 24mm, Jay. Nice shots.
Chin, it has been a while. Great to have you back. That does look reminiscent of John's pictures with the 400mm. Well captured.
