For those interested, finally I published the final version of my most recent photo book on birds relationships with plants in a savannah preserve here in Brazil.
Sorry but the text is Portuguese only, however ~80% of the book is made of original photos with captions indicating equipment. Most taken by AF lenses but a good part also was shot by our venerable MF Nikkors.
It can be downloaded free here (PDF ~150Mb): https://www.livrosabertos.sibi.usp.br/portaldelivrosUSP/catalog/view/871/785/2879
Edit: I have counted the number of times MF Nikkor were used:
from a total of around 284 images in the book 102 or almost 36% were taken with Nikkor MF (horrible/impossible to take shots - no VR, no AF-S, paper weight/lemonn lenses only... ).
I have been MIA from photography the last few weeks. Crazy time here and will be on the road the next couple weekends back and forth to Clemson SC. My son got a short notice PhD assistantship offer at Clemson University and so only had a couple weeks to find an apartment (hard to do this time of year near a university, but found a two bedroom unfurnished), move out of his current one (furnished), find furniture (even harder with supply chain issues, thank goodness for some good finds in thrift stores). Have been brushing up on my wood refinishing/repair skills
Our house has turned into temporary storage and we will be loading up a U-Haul next Thurs/Friday for the initial move.
I plan on taking advantage of his extra bedroom for some fall visits. With advanced notice to him of course Looks like some good hikes nearby with a large lake and close to the NC waterfalls in the extreme western part of the state. Plus around two hours for some Atlanta roadtrips.
Re: the thread, looks like some great pictures the last few pages and I will catch up with the like button
Have a good weekend everyone!

Congrats on the new book! I'm downloading as I type.

Good to see you, I was just thinking of you yesterday. Bet your son is excited. What a hectic time you guys are going through. Looking forward to seeing images from you as soon as you can. No pressure.
Jose, congratulations on the completion of the photo book, beautiful work. You should release this in several languages, hopefully one version in English.
The older structures of Tivoli taken from Villa Gregoriana (ca 1835). The villa is a large preserved area known for its waterfalls, caves and natural vegetation.
Pleasant surprise, the old riverbed are the walkways. The last 10% is mountain goat territory with very narrow pathways covered with large broken rocks.
One of the several waterfalls, the largest being at the end of the trail.
We are going to do a day trip down to Pine Knoll Shores tomorrow. Going to try and snag a few shots at Fort Macon.

Fortunately I’m also a sucker for doors and we have some good ones around! I’ll see if I can find you some soon. More 85 till then.
You sent me to Google Maps and Wikipedia once again Serge

I really like the style of the new version. Hope to have mine soon. It only took 3 days to get from Shanghai to the US and has been bouncing around US Post Offices for 8 days

My Shoten FZ1 adapter arrived this week. Ordered from Amazon Japan and it arrived within 3 days vs. the 1-2 month estimate on ebay.
Imo this is so far the best-looking adapter for manual Nikkors, also a bit nicer than their 1st gen adapter. Quality is very good, no wobble, metal finish extremely similar to that of the Ai-S lenses.
They also make a silver version which fits the Z fc nicely, but I think they should actually make a mixed color version that is silver up to the silver ring and black from thereon.
Now all I need is a full-frame Z f. Come on Nikon!

Well, now there is no need to post additional images.
George, I was also not aware of this particular villa until began researching Tivoli prior to departure. It is an amazing area and should be totally awesome with fall colors.
