At last I managed to get a little discount and bought one of the last in my list:
The 80-200/2.8 ai-s ED. Not a "Rafael's condition" lens, anyway a solid 9+.
Definitively not a hand held lens for more than 5 min, at almost 2 kg.
Z7 + FTZ + Nikkor-S 58mm f/1.4 F, ISO 1000, wide open at 1/500s; 13% cropped (6/45MP). The lens was at 80mm, without the hood, at infinity focus and mounted on a D810. 7 images focus-stacked.
Z7 + FTZ + Nikkor-S 58mm f/1.4 F at 1.2m of distance, ISO 900, wide open at 1/500s; 11% cropped (5/45MP). The lens was at 80mm, infinity focus (top), MFD (bottom) and mounted on a D810.

Z7 + FTZ + Nikkor-S 58mm f/1.4 F at 1.2m of distance, ISO 500, wide open at 1/500s; 20% cropped (9/45MP). The lens was at 80mm, infinity focus and mounted on a D810.

Ray - Here's why I shoot with the 24mm PC-E so much.
I used to use view cameras a lot, and missed control of perspective correction and plane of focus.
Tried the 35 and 28 PCs, and thought the 28 would be perfect as I like that focal length, but both of these lenses are lower contrast and mushy.
When the 24mm PC-E became available I was surprised at how I could easily adapt to the radically wider perspective. Subjectively it does everything I'd wish for in a daily carry, and even lets me get close.
I am lazy and usually just take one camera and one lens with me most outings, whether I'm running an errand or have some subject in mind.

Ray - Thanks for the kind words, the one lens one camera works for me but there are probably as many ways to shoot as there are photographers!
Jose - Lovely birds! I have never seen a metric rule with fractions before your posts.
Congratulations Jose, that one looks as good as mine.

Here are a couple of 80-200mm 2.8 ais photos looking at you Jose!
Mine is sharp at 2.8 with minor aberrations, a bit of glow on highlights that goes away at 4.0.
This one at 2.8

George, this took me back 11 years to 2011 and the day I got my 105 2.5 ais - I drove into the forest and there were some brambles where I parked my car. This was about the 3rd pic I ever shot with the lens which is still pristine but unused.
Great to see the same people still using their MF kit. All of mine is available if anyone here is interested. See my profile as I'd like to keep them in the family. Shipping might be costly to the US though but I'm not looking for much money.

Congrats Jose. I'm glad to see some of us still buying these old Nikkors.

Thanks Rafael, but that is impossible: mine is at best a 9+, yours is a 10+++++
There is saying in Spanish: hazte fama y échate a dormir. Develop a name then you don’t have to live up to it anymore. It applies to the pristine condition of most but not all my Nikkors.
