I took the Df out on a walk, with the 28-50mm f/3.5. Great lens to use, but I find the images from it a bit muddy, missing quite a bit of detail. It's not as bad up close.
Scott, thanks. The flower is a zinnia not sure what exact species or sub-species. Not sure about the spider, except its a spider (channeling Nikon Steve )
My wife and I took a quick weekend trip to the mountains in North Georgia. I mostly shot infrared, which I'll post later. Here are the only two color shots I took with MF lenses.
Nice shots Scott! That waterfall looks refreshing for sure.
Interesting that the built the deck out over the falls.

Like George said, interesting deck placement. I also find it interesting that there's no one playing in the water, or for that fact, no one around.
Thanks George and Leighton! I took a photo from the deck, also, but can't post it here because I used an AF lens. I don't have a MF ultra-wide. You can actually reach out from the deck and, with a good stretch, touch the water. Somehow, though, you don't get wet just standing there.
I had to wait for a couple of people to leave the deck before I took this photo, but there really weren't that many people there this past weekend. It kind of surprised me.

Nikkor 28-50mm f/3.5 ai-s zoom reversed at infinity focus position + tripod + remote shutter, ISO 200, f/8 at 1.6 to 2 sec exposure.
Top: set at 50mm
Middle: 35mm
Bottom: 28mm
Magnifications at infinity focus position were respectively 0,85x, 1,52x and 1,97x. The lens ("porn") model was the Nikkor UD 20mm f/3.5 factory ai'd, focus was at the blue f/16 number.
D610 + BR2A reversing ring + reversed Nikkor 28-50mm f/3.5 ais @ 35mm at infinity focus, ISO 400 f/7.1 at 1/200s, built in flash + diffusers. 8 focus stacked images.

Scott, that's a place to not just capture the ever flowing waterfall, but to then sit down and just enjoy the scenery and the sounds of the water. Lived in Atlanta a while ago, and did a trip to, I think, Rome (or was it Helen?) up in North Georgia one time, but had no interest in photography or cameras back then.
I have been favouring the IR camera as well.
My D610 has apparently been repaired by Nikon. The cost is very modest so I am not convinced they have replaced the missing pin. I guees I will find out in a few days.
In the meantime the D7100 IR is working well as my backup.

Rome is in the western part of the state and is beautiful. Helen is in the northeastern part of the state and is modeled after a Bavarian town. It, too, is in a beautiful area. It's a shame you weren't into photography at that time. You'll just have to come back and visit sometime!
Colin, it looks to me like you are getting great results from the D7100. I hope Nikon fixed your D610 to your satisfaction. I know you'll be glad to get it back in your hands.
I paired the 28-50 with the 75-150 back in the backpacking and film days, I've since sold the 28-50. Jose shows it to be a very usable ultra macro zoom, hmmm. I already have a reversing ring in my arsenal......
A couple from this morning with the 35 O. I've either forgotten how to handhold properly or my 35 O deteriorated in storage. No prizes for guessing which :-)
