Ray - Here's why I shoot with the 24mm PC-E so much.
I used to use view cameras a lot, and missed control of perspective correction and plane of focus.
Tried the 35 and 28 PCs, and thought the 28 would be perfect as I like that focal length, but both of these lenses are lower contrast and mushy.
When the 24mm PC-E became available I was surprised at how I could easily adapt to the radically wider perspective. Subjectively it does everything I'd wish for in a daily carry, and even lets me get close.
I am lazy and usually just take one camera and one lens with me most outings, whether I'm running an errand or have some subject in mind.
Appreciate the background Jay. I would not call that lazy but perhaps focused. Your output definitely does not show the effects of laziness or lack of vision. One of these days I’ll grow up and head out with one prime lens.

You know it is humid when you can literally see the humidity.
Went out for a walk this evening after an afternoon thunderstorm. I can honestly say, I don't think I have felt this much humidity since I was on a trip in Panama in the early 90s.
Monochrom/LTM 3.5cm/Orange filter. Cropped to XPAN ratio

George
I like. Looks like a scene out of The Walking Dead.
Awesome shot and agree, it's been quite stout around here for a while now it seems. Had a couple mornings like that.

Lots of activity here in the last few days, still working my way through the pages. Seems like a lot of Nikonos examples from Huss. We don't see that here much.

Love the rich deep tones. How long is this lens at 35mm and 200mm?
saph wrote:
13.5cm at the wide end and 17.5cm at 200.

The lens is decent enough at any focal length for the kind of images we present here. If you close it down to f/8 it becomes excellent. It has distortion but is sharp and not flare prone.
What I really liked for the 35-200mm at car shows was the ability to compose at different distances for different physical situations as the crowd and other cars make this a challenge, the photos are very decent in quality.

Samy I travel with the 35-200 and my only wish is that it was a bit shorter, especially with the adapter on my Z6.
I like the lens a lot and whether using it on landscapes or indoors I find it really shines at Car shows.
