That Subaru Family Huckster sure looks faster than my Outback

Want to see fast cars in action? Then check out the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed Hill climbs.
The last car - a McMurtry Automotive Speirling - is something out of this world.
The static displays/pits at this event are amazing. Every conceivable marque available for you to get close to.
Rafael would have a field day.
Was that in the Smoky mountains? Synchronous firefly? I would love to get out there to see that one year. My son missed the peak activity by a week or so a couple years ago. But I hear that is something to see.

With all this talk of fireflies I thought I'd see what I could find in my files, only one night I tried photographing them on a June 6th in NC.
This is more of an example of extreme processing rather than a pictorial nature shot, and required a few attempts to find a successful workflow. Probably all this trouble would have been avoided had I used a Noct.
Only 3 pages in 10 days, entering a slow period it seems.
Huss, love the pigeons and thought process, and the fact that you are showcasing the Nikonos.
Colin, congrats on the fast ride, what a thrill to be pinned back in the seat, and then carving turns (I presume) with a supercar and professional instruction! I'll bet the orange color gets you at least another 2 seconds per lap.
Samy, nice to see you out shooting more, especially appreciate the Middlebury VT shot. Speaking of card readers, the CFExpress B reader provides me no breaks now when downloading images.
Leighton, will take your "keep the thread alive" photos anytime.
George, you may not have gotten fireflies but the shots are still a prize, especially that last Noct shot.
Fireflies, the next technical challenge. I was going to say that my 50mm f1.4 is not up to the task due to the slow aperture but I see that Jay has proven me wrong.

My family gave me a present of a supercar track day drive around Thruxton racetrack - the UK's fastest. I opted for the Mclaren 570s. I grabbed a few shots of the orange rocket whilst waiting for my instructor led turn.
180/2.8 ED & Z6ii
...
Seriously great fun so I guess I will need to go back since the racetrack is only a short distance from home.
Good choice! I would love that kind of ride too! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I don't think it was in the Smokey Mts, but I'm just a Northerner, this was NE of Mars Hill in a town called Burnsville on Possom Trot road.
The display seemed asynchronous, but numerous and it was only by chance that I saw the display.
Processing was complicated by the cloudy light polluted sky.
The best I've seen was driving along coastal Maine where field after field lit up and they silhouetted trees between the glowing open areas.
I like the perspective with the bridge. It's Sometimes hard to get the right angle on these types of bridges. This worked well with the foreground interest.
I have been through that part of the state a few times. Edge of Pisgah National Forest. Beautiful area.
Light pollution probably coming from Asheville

One more from Thruxton with the 180/2.8.
Thakfully I got the drive completed before the rain arrived.
Fun fact - the 4 small flags (l to r) represent Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.
If you merge the last 3 then you arrive at the UK's historic red, white and blue Union Jack flag.
The Wales flag is a relatively modern adoptation.
So far, I see your question got missed. I don't know about the Nikon z effect on Nikon's F mount AF lenses on an adapter, BUT, those AF lenses wouldn't qualify for posting here, since this thread is for the non-AI, AI, AI-P, and AI-s lenses.

I just realized, technically, if I would shoot any Nikon Z mirrorless, all my Nikkor AF glas would turn into manual focus lenses...

And Nikon RF and medium format and large format lenses
