I hear you about film costs and developing. I like shooting a roll every now and then, but boy do I wish I had digital back when I used to travel globally in the 80’s and 90’s. So much more I would have shot but didn’t because of limited luggage space and $$
Re: the weight, once I head out on a serious hike, it will no doubt be more efficient. Especially if elevation is involved. This little trip was a flat river bottom. No climbing involved
I think I read somewhere that Fujifilm was increasing prices on their film 60%. Have you seen that? Seems to me that if that's true, they will lose some film shooters.
I think 60% in Japan, 25% in North America and varies in other regions. The shop closest to me has basically stopped selling film. No black and white and nothing in 120 or larger. I have to go to Raleigh to find that.

Bummer for you. I'm glad I got away from film, couldn't afford it now.
The entrance to Medieval Siena. I believe the original city walls remain intact and well preserved. It was an easy thirty minute trek from the train station.

You went to Europe again, Serge? These are lovely.
Made use of the low light qualities of the Df. They say at 1600, it is just warming up.
Df + Nikkor-P Auto 105mm f/2.5 | F5.6 ISO 1600 -0.67EV
D700 also came out to play, with the plastic zoom 35-70mm. I am not supposed to like this lens not having read a single positive review of it. However, I really love it. Light as a feather, with buttery smooth focus ring, can focus close. Win.
Just wanted to share a couple bits of 100% free dslr tethering software I found that seem to work brilliantly.
digiCamControl (Windows only) and Entangle (Linux only) - there is the LR tethering module, Darktable's tethering module, but for stand alone programs I really like both of these.

Thank you, Siphiwe.
We are just getting back to pre virus levels of activity. Our schedules seem to open up during April and November and use the time to travel. Judging from the rather large number of tourists in Italy, we are not alone.
Good to see that you are well and taking photos, very nice captures.

Awesome, I am starting to do a little resistance training with my physio now. She has been great. Amazing how you think you're okay but your muscle strength is withering.
Tired of it, but still practicing precautions, for sure. I managed to get lucky the first time, and biding the time to get the next booster in.
