Riccardo, great black and white photos of reminders of very turbulent period. I wonder if the Luger pistols still work.
Thanks Serge.
The Luger pistols, and the machine gun as well, are disabled. They are showcased in the "Museum of memorabilia", which is situated behind a vast block of reinforced cement (monolith), hollow inside, placed over the tombs which contain the bodies of the 335 victims of the nazifascist massacre.
The museum reconstructs, with the use of documents, books and articles, images and objects, the historical context for what took place on 23-24 March 1944 in Rome.
I wish to invite you to watch the movie "Rome, open city" directed by Roberto Rossellini in 1945. The end of the movie is on Youtube:
Rome was liberated from Nazi German occupation by the Allies on June 4th, 1944, few months later the massacre.

I'm calling these "Drive-by Landscapes", because they were shot while moving with the 35mm f1.4 ais
Which do you prefer-Color or Black & White?
Samy,
I am heartened to see the turnout for the event, and I love your photos. Marie Yovanovich caught my attention in the fall of 2019, and I consider her someone with integrity and honor. Hopefully this Ukraine atrocity will end soon.

Checked in today and delighted to see that Curtis appeared, albeit for one post.
Congrats on the all the great images being posted. I was very moved by the story of the Roman massacre - one had hoped that such savagery in Europe was a thing of the past. Hopefully Putin will get his just desserts.
Jose, I loved the birds in your e-book, unfortunately my Portuguese is limited to "dos cervezas, por favor"!
i have joined the committee of our local camera club and since August last year I've been responsible for the production of our monthly newsletter which those of you who are interested can see at https://www.knysnaphotosociety.com/section847540.html
Having converted to Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, I've been on a steep learning curve but it fits in nicely with DxO Photolab 4 and the Nik Collection so I'm having lots of fun but almost exclusively with AF lenses as most of the stuff I shoot involves photo stacking between 40 and 60 images.
I'm reworking a bunch of old images which may find their way here in due course.
