Amazing, even more so that some are with the tiny Zfc!! 4mpx wrote:

Sar,
Excellent series, and panning. You must have a steady hand, and quick eye to get images like these.

You know, this new lens almost just got me to go buy a Zfc. Not Nikon glass but I really like CV, and I'm not sure there's anything close in spirit and size to the old FM/FE.
But then you reminded me about the articulated screen. I agree I strongly dislike them, to the point it may be enough to avoid the Zfc.

I have only had IBIS in the brief time I had a Z6 the other year. Nothing I have now has IBIS so I don’t know what I am missing I guess
With the exception of the Zfc, I have migrated back to old cameras with optical finders.
100% agree with you on a Zf
The Zfc is a good “family” camera and casual shooting camera. One thing that I don’t like is the flip out/twisty to the side LCD. Really gets in the way when used with a cross body strap.
The Zfc is also really good as a video conference camera too and is coming in handy now that I am permanently home office.
That is one sweet looking lens! Nice to see someone embracing the APS-C Z mount with quality glass. I guess it is too much to hope for lens contacts for communication to the camera? Nikon still with a closed system.
I hope they continue with that line with something wider.

I was just reading about the contacts. Hide my wallet!
Will make for a nice Nifty Fifty on the Z fc

Actually it has contacts and apparently was done via license from Nikon! Would love to see some of their FX options, likely will down the road.
Product page (sorry, Ill stop with this non-Nikon glass after this.)
Now that I'm into the Nikon Z world, posters like George, Rafael, Samy, to name a few, have me thinking about non F mount Nikkors. This place can be evil at times, must run fast from that rabbit hole.
Hopefully the worst damage will be non-AI lenses since the Z's don't care about aperture linkages.

There's evil lurking in almost every post on this thread
