Yes, I didn't...... I blame this bloody thread.....and, as we know, I'm weak. It came from Italy and was quite cheap. I really like it. It is also in the best condition of any lens I've purchased, in Rafael condition.......no, no, I'm kidding, but it is a very very nice copy. I normally don't care about the cosmetic condition, in fact, I'm a bit intimidated if it's too good because I'm scared I'll scratch it. This is like new. Still, I wish it was smaller, this is up around the size of the Canon 135mm f2, the Lord of the Rings.

Scott, Jim and Jay. Love the shots of the houses, barn/shed and lighthouses. I pass so many old structures on my weekly trips to Virginia. I really need to take some time and stop.
Andy - enjoying your views from 88
Serge - love the chocolate Santa in that second shot. You must have been touching the glass with that 16mm
Riccardo - good shot with the long nose 50mm. Shots from all around the world in the last 3 pages. Love this thread.
Sar - that last shot is priceless. Great series.
Almost full moon fever Mark
Rafael - Great color and detail in the Nativity. Love it!
Ben - contrats on the new to you 135. As always you put it to good work. Need to get someone to post a behind the scenes of you at work
Our postal service has taken a hit here, and although I've not accidentally ordered a 200mm f/2 so can not comment on other carriers, a 1st class letter from an adjacent town 12 miles distant that used to be delivered overnight now travels ~ 400 miles and takes 7 to 10 days plus if it has a tail wind.

Jay,
That 4th image with the flowering pink tree - is that a flowering gum, or do you know the variety? It is like a live Monet painting!
Jim
I do not know what the tree is, but am rather amazed that it reminded you of Monet since that's what I was thinking when I saw it in bloom! I have asked someone who might know but for now all I can add are a few more frames. The last shot was taken with the 85mm f/1.4 AI-S. Imagine waking up to that pink light streaming in the window!
Fujifilm X-S10 + adapter + Nikkor 300mm f/4.5K ED, ISO 1600, f/5.6 at 1/500s; minimum focusing distance ~3.9m. 46% cropped (12/26MP). 6 images focus-stacked, since the lichen was at a trunk ~30º sloped and at ~2m high.
Thanks Jay.
There is a 58.2% likelihood that it is "Leptospermum scoparium" a small tree or shrub endemic to New Zealand and Australia. aka Myrtaceae, Mānuka , Mānuka myrtle, or Broom Tea-tree. It is suppose to grow only 6-10 feet high - so it obviously loves the spot it is growing in. I would love to add one to our backyard if I could shigy it from "dry Mediterranean climates" to the rigors of Michigan.
Jim
EDIT - I don't know what I was trying to type for "shigy", but I think by context people can figure out what I meant.

The 200mm f2.0 was delivered months and months ago - it just had a very circuitous route to my door from Maine. Some of the first images were these two.
This more current item has not been disclosed yet, and is currently going for a second lap around the country having left Denver for the third time, and arriving in Pittsburgh for the second time. Will it ever arrive? I will say that of the people I actually got to speak to at the post office that they are excellent at customer service talk. To add a bit of excitement I added a shipment from Japan of a truly Rafael league lens - my money is on the Japan shipment arriving first.
Jim
Well, we are back home and preparing for Christmas, spent a week on the east coast at Satellite beach and it was rainy and gloomy. The ocean was nice,
Following the lightning speed of the thread has been fun,
Jose I'm liken the lichen (sorry couldn't help myself,
Leighton, I enjoyed the scenes from the farm and its morning charm.
George your experimentation dazzles me. The combos you create produce great results.
Samy, I liked the Capitol shot very grand indeed,
Andy you make Oz look incredible
Colin that was a great tour of Lomdon and I enjoyed it.
Normally I wait to process shots but I got two for Reagan, MERRY CHRISTMAS

Jim, the wait for the 200 was definitely worth it despite the circuitous route. That is a special lens.
I was following your red lighthouses in the previous couple pages. Grand Haven is about 100-150 miles south of where I have been.

Jose, you should try your hand at large format photography and use the movements for that slopin lichen. You would get great pictures no matter what.
