Ben, I will be in the "Hicksville on the Tiber" in a few days and curious to see what I can do with the Fisheye plus the 28/2.8. The 135mm seems a tad long but you are the esperto totale in street photography.
Hope the photos look okay. Unlike Colin, I am using a low resolution 12" laptop screen to perform tweaks.
Took these from the rather large windows of the temporary digs. I can very easily get addicted to the view plus the walks to Ponte Vecchio at all hours.
After a nice little storm and there have been a few:
From this morning not long after sunrise, the Uffizi Museum towards the middle. The balloon passengers must have one incredible view.

Purchased a set of old Non-AI lenses. Love the rendering on this old glass. No adjustment on these except the exposure slider in Capture One.
Welcome Geoff. Now you know why this thread is so popular in the Nikon forum.
Serge - I'm still in Hicksville on the Tiber. I was supposed to leave yesterday. We're leaving tomorrow now. We're going to fly up instead. This is at one of the fountains, the Trevi, of your not favourite city.
Please excuse the brightness, I wouldn't normally do this.

Thanks, Scott. I will try to post others.

this is terrifying ! what the hell happens to the tourists in Rome this year ? is that a side effect of the vaccine ? are they coming from another planet ? this becomes a worry.

I take it this means you're not too keen on the pic. I thought she had an interesting face, and of course she stared right at me so I thought it might make a good pic. They were British I think. I don't think the vaccine had anything to do with whatever is bothering you. I'd say the cigarette wouldn't help.
Ben,
Seriously, is your dark style inspired by the old "Black Plaque" like images, and to capture the new covid-19 plaque? This one has the added bonus of how to wrongly wear a mask with two examples. I was just thinking if you could hire someone to photo bomb some of your images wearing one of those bird beak masks that they used for the black plaque it would be quite effective. They are on sale now since Halloween has passed. Link here

Jim, you guys are giving me a complex. Philippe is terrified and you're talking about the plague?? I can't see what you're talking about, to me, it's 2 women at the Trevi, tourists. What is there to be alarmed about. To be fair, masks are not compulsory in the open, so having them lowered is not a problem (although it looks like that's going to change in a week or so, and they would have to wear them properly then). Anyway, she's smoking, and I think you can lower them to smoke, and to drink.
I like it Ben for the processing and the fact it isn't as dark. I think the others are commenting the fact that she and her companion are not exactly the personification of beauty.
Or to put it another way, "daaaaamn gurl, you ugly!"

haha I was not referring to the masks, I don't care about it.

I refuse to believe that Jim or Philippe would be so crass or shallow. But Philippe liked your comment so now I'm not so sure.
Ben,
I just look for artistic expression, and was perhaps trying too hard with your latest. The faces are very interesting to me, and the tourist vibe is strong.
