This rock is called The Pulpit. I forgot the 20/1.8S so had to make do with the 28/2 ais that was on the Z6ii. Frustratingly tight composition wise at times, the 20/3.5UD would have been better.
I was there about an hour before high tide and boy the ocean is a powerful beast, nothing between e and the Antarctic. I was careful but even then the odd rogue wave got my feet/legs wet. (The foreground water is a big channel between the rock platform and the coast)
Also, must remember either not to use f16 and above (or clean the sensor) on the Z6ii as there are a LOT of dust spots.

I don't know if it was the color or the title but for some reason that image had me back on a submarine. Yeah, strange I know
Really like it!

That deep bunker was quite an isolating minimalist contrast from the outside so even though I have only had a pier-side tour of a submarine, it felt like another world in there.
Following Jay's fall in Florida with early winter in western New York State this morning. A thin blanket of snow overnight. Taken with the 55 f3.5 Ai'd. Thanks for looking.

Just excellent Scott! Love the placement of the red, and just the right DOF control to my eyes.
Ben,
We like to think that Oscar has "big bones", or "big hair" rather than fat shaming him. All my cats are rescues, and a couple of them do self medicate with biscuit therapy.

Jim - That is either a tiny couch or Oscar is an enormous cat.
Fell and ripped out the lens mount with a 300mm f2.8 attached .... ouch
It cost the insurance company £800 (approx $1000) to fix it - so glad it was insured
Anyway it seems to be working well and all lined up properly.
So now it's a night of vinyl records and whisky I think. What's not to like about that combination??
Whiskies from the extremities of the UK mainland
Old Poultney is from the furthest north distillery on mainland UK as you see .... opened and enjoyed so far
Then a close run measurement between Nc'Nean at Drimmnin on the Morvern peninsula overlooking the Isle of Mull.
and the Ardnamurchan distillery at Glenbeg bay on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. These would be the furthest west on the UK mainland.
As things stand it could be a night of banging tunes .... and a morning of banging head tomorrow .....
Clearly all in a good cause !!!
Whilst testing out the D500, I am giving some love to the 25-50mm f4 Ai-s (a lens I kept in the FM family)
Right then ..... let's get this party started !!
Steve
Nikon banging boi
Stokesey 2021
UK Whisky extremities distilleries - North to Wick for Old Poultney
Stokesey 2021
Ardnamurchan Whisky from the west - batch number 5 - then no more till the next release
Stokesey 2021
Possibly the furthest West by about 1 mile - well off the beaten track Nc'Nean

yeah, but why is the light yellow? Are you pretending it's tungsten?
Jim - I never said he was fat, I just said he looked enormous next to that couch, so OK, he's big boned, or you could have just said the couch was tiny, I would have accepted it, because, well, it looks tiny.

Well, I didn't quite get the color right, first attempt.
Following along with Steve's beverage theme. Just in time for Thanksgiving. I am going to be smoking a turkey tomorrow morning and it is going to be down to around 20 degrees F. Is 7am too early to take a shot?
Shot with the Nikkor 5cm f/2 non-ai "tick mark" lens on the Z fc. But now using a Lens Turbo II speed booster. The Metabones is gone. There were a number of lenses you could not mount because the optics in the Metabones got in the way. This lens being one of them along with the 45p. Not an issue with the Turbo II. Thanks Andy for putting me on to this the other week.
