Fujifilm X-S10 + adapter + Nikkor 300mm f/4.5K ED non-IF hand held, ISO 640, f/5.6 at 1/400s. 61.5% cropped (16/26MP). No flash to avoid a startled or spooked bird, just using RAW to bring details from the shadows.
as long as he's been MIA it's the only reason I can think of...

Laura - that's a shocking rumour. How do you know? He hasn't posted for a few months on Flickr but his last pics were with the Nikon Df and a manual focus lens.

Unbeleivable! Rafael has a lens not in 101% Rafaels'condition!! It lacks the "Passed" label, just glue remains. The end of the world is near!
The bigger issue is that the glue is still on there!
Rafael, the processing silence from me is simply that I've been LR only for so many years (with very minor side detours that never lasted beyond "trial" periods) I don't know any better.
Black Rock Canyon is beautifully done. I presume the upright trees in the top right is due to shifting.
I prefer OVFs except for confirming focusing and really dark scenes (but that's probably less than 2% of my shooting where it would matter), the one touch instant magnification in EVFs is hard to beat. I suppose the live histogram is another EVF benefit as well, though I could probably learn to do without that.
Samy, good captures with the 1000mm reflex. You chose scenes that really do not betray the mirror reflex nature of the lens.
I enjoy the BTS shots that accompany the pictures, especially of the non-pedestrian equipment and different setups to capture unique vantage points.
oh Laura, that's the only reason you can think of, the ONLY reason? I haven't seen him on Flickr or the AF thread Dean started either, so ......but if this is just to spur him on to respond, then, yeah sure, count me in.

.
That is exactly what I had guessed, that it is a long settled issue for most. Some packages may have additional benefits such as DxO correcting for lens (sadly not the ones we use) or the On1 noise, but most offer their benefits as LR plug ins with different levels of integration.
With regards to the JIIS sticker Jose and Ray, suffer no more, I am on the hunt for original stickers of the correct vintage. Leaving the glue on the lens to be reused with the sticker placed in the original position!!!!!!!

Just come up with your own sticker design. I am sure your inspection standards exceed the originals
Trying out some recent purchases , the TC-16A modified converter on the 400 F3.5 AIS and and a stand alone 500 Reflex (last close focus model)

New growth (life) on an nearly expired Cholla Cactus.
It has been a disappointing fall locally. Dull color, and rainy weather. Just looking around the yard during a brief bit of bright overcast light for some fall color with the 200mm f2.0 AI
Ben,
This is very dark! It looks like a still shot from the 1973 movie "Soylent Green" set in the year 2022. A line of people in line to receive their food supplement bar made from...hmm got to watch the movie to find out that one.

For my part, makes me think of the coal-streaked faces of underground miners in Claude Berri movie "Germinal"...

Curtis switched back to Canon and sold off all his manual focus lenses for auto focus Canon lenses.......
Laura, I assume you're either joking or trying to shock us. Since I talk with Curtis at least weekly, I can assure you that he's still very much in possession of his Df and Nikkor lenses, just busy with other priorities at this time.

The TC16a with 400mm 3.5 ED is extremity sharp and contrasty in the central area. For me it works best at closer distances.
