The other week Ray was asking about thin extension rings. Well this month my local photo club is shooting macros. While not a true macro, I thought it would be fun to go ultra wide with the K1 ring and see what I could get.
I spotted some very small fungi/mushrooms at my fence and along with the autumn leaves gave it a go. As you can see in the second "above the scene" shot, there is not a lot of room to work with. Second shot with the Df and 45P
I swear I am going to break that flippy screen off of that Z fc. But came in handy here
Nikkor-SW 90 f8, Rollei infrared film developed in Cinestill Df96, generic 720nm infrared filter. Remembered to stop the lens down to f/22 this time! Shutter speed was 1/8s.
Love this! I'd add this to your list of best images.
Rafael, love those event shots you post. I can imagine the enjoyment of watching and listening at these events, while capturing the scenes with such clarity.

My Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 just became a lot better at higher ISO/difficult light
George and Leighton, thanks for the comments on that last cemetery shot, and thanks folks for all the likes. I have more designs on the Tachihara infrared series, but have to wait for the stars to align - namely have a mostly sunny day on a weekend.
Funny you should ask. I had started using the "Like" button the most this week. Inspiration to shoot has been running low recently but I will get there. Our mother passed away last week and prior to that her struggles had been weighing on the family. The dark clouds have passed now and we look to the future.
Thank you everyone for the words of comfort. This community is amazing.
This one was from yesterday. In yet another moment of weakness I bought an AIS 28-50mm f/3.5 last month, because it was small, priced well and seemed like a good fit for the Df. Push/pull zoom is a first for me, and the front rotates during focus, another first for a MF lens for me. However, it does enable taking of pictures and that's all that matters. Taken yesterday.
Philippe,
Nope - just me. I imagine Curtis wandering shady lanes in California with his "desert island" 180mm f2.8 ais + some extension tube shooting beautiful flowers in picket fenced neighborhoods. Maybe wearing a safari hat visiting art galleries and bistros. His flower photos left a deep impression on everyone here, and hope he is in good health still collecting images to share.

Jim, for a moment I thought Curtis was back....
That’s a great idea. My current dishwasher is not a good one. I’ve been hand washing the dishes and then put them into the dishwasher for another round. I feel like what I am doing here is just getting another coat of soap
