Leighton, we will make a deal, you get the M246, I will take the Noct. I have enough Barnack Leicas to satisfy that particular itch. George, you are going to be richer by $500 soon!!

Enjoyed the nice weather today and roasted some coffee out on the deck. Just got an espresso blend of raw beans so the smoke was rolling to get to a Vienna roast.
A foggy day in 2012 by the river. Every time I adjusted this frame the image suffered. The 50mm f1.2 ais is a wonderfully sharp lens. This frame is the far right-hand side of what became an eight image stitch (posted before), and 60+ inch print on a coated canvas. It just makes me feel good to see it.

Love the tones in these. Enjoy your coffee this morning. You know I'm enjoying my special Sunday blend.
Struggled a little bit with extracting sharpness across the frame with this lens yesterday. I wonder if its optically identical to the collapsible 5cm f3.5, which was developed originally for the Hansa Canon in the 1930s/1940s. I think George has this lens and may have been able to get more out of it.
The collapsible 5cm f3.5 lens is also not quite the same image quality as the 5cm f2 HC, just from cursory use of that lens. But then this was a very early foray into the consumer imaging business for the company.

Love these - I'll bet the coffee is just as good as the images.
The result of a bit of a bit of elbow grease this morning.
The 28/2.8 AI-S has not had much camera time in the last 18 months so I mounted it on the Z6 today.

I do have that lens Samy. Don't think I ever used it on the Z6 during the short time I had it. I have always been happy with the results with it on the Leica. Although I do like the 5cm f/2 HC better, the f/3.5 has the advantage that it is the same filter size as the 3.5cm and 2.8cm lenses. Handy when using the color filters for shooting on the Monochrom or shooting black and white film on a LTM compatible camera body.

Quite civilized elbow grease Colin and an excellent photograph.
My elbow grease is being spent differently, making necessary repairs to a 34 year old house, replacing the deck that rotted, eventually redoing the landscaping that died with the drought, fixing the driveway, painting, roof etc. etc. I am my own general contractor so this goes slowly as my workers have regular jobs and come here to make some extra money on weekends.
This is what the place looked like before the drought. It was green and lush.
This is what it looks like now, instead of pine frame and redwood top all nailed together it will be pressure treated wood frame and hgher grade redwood top, all screwed together.
