Hi Jay, thanks - for portraits the 210mm might be better suited.
I already have a 210mm from another brand (Fujinon, mounted for my other 4x5-system) and thought a 180mm would maybe better suit a 4x5-field-camera.
Maybe I'll try the „other” 210 on the Wista first and see hwo this focal-length works.
That lime green version of the Zfc is really cute. I understand Joseph the FTZ adapter is a little bulky, but there are less cumbersome 3rd party adapters that don't have the electronics and don't add quite the girth.

So I received the Z fc and tried the 50 1.4 AIS on it. It looks good, and it's a nice handling camera. Unfortunately, I think this camera is not for me. Not the camera's fault, but I feel that the DX sensor doesn't give MFNG's justice. These glasses really sing on an FX sensor, so I put the Z fc back in the box.
Also, I don't like how the adapter adds a considerable length to the otherwise small MFNGs! I might just get another Df after all... or maybe a Z6ii
Georg and Leighton, just for you guys, I have to figure out where Frank Zappa's bust is displayed in Baltimore, and will post that pic here

Thanks a bunch!
I was aware that you are deep into LF-Nikkor-lenses but didn't know much you own ;-))
I will dive into the world of japanese ebay-sellers when the Wista 45 SP is finally here.
Your fine images with the 180mm are tempting.
Sorry for my poor English and thanks again,
Georg.
PS: the other great son of Baltimore (a statue) might be my first subjet with the new lens - Frank Zappa. He got a memorial in a small town nearby.

I’m plotting my move to Tokyo ... hopefully by the end of next year I'll be there I’m sure I’ll get to know every second-hand camera shop in the city.
Cheers!
Dean, that is one of my dreams - to visit those camera shops (and camera malls?) in Tokyo. All the best for the move!
Something I hadn't done in a while - birding. Retrieved the 400 5.6 ED AIS and it is quite a nice walkaround package with the Z6+FTZ. I took off the 400's tripod foot for the walk and the whole thing is very light.

There is a great used camera store in HK, but I don't remember the name. I have seen it on Big Head Taco's youtube channel.
I just googled this. David Chan’s store is the one he did a video on. He’s very famous for sure but his prices are outrageous… totally outrageous. He does has lots very rare stuff in there that’s mint condition though. I bought one lens from there … I think it was the 105/1.8 Ai-S. Paid way too much.
But, he’s such a nice man. Always immaculately dressed and very polite & friendly. A real old school gentleman. I get my film developed 100m away from his store so I always have a look at the thousands of cams and lenses in his windows while I’m killing time waiting for my film. There’s a few stores in the same arcade. One called “All Good Friends” is also an institution. Lovely old man as well with two sons that operate the store.
