I'm going old school digital today. I bought a D70 (same as my first digital camera) to convert to IR. It came in Friday, so I tested it out a bit this weekend.
Morning folks. There's been a lot of great images on here since my last visit. I've been busy getting rid of the last of the sheep flock, still have 8 ewes to go. Plus, we had to have the lane paved, THAT was fun...not.

How you liking the X-S10? Does the IBIS work well with the Nikkors? Sorry if I've already asked you this.
Love the hummer.
Sorry Leighton, forgot to answer.
I used this in a tripod but as the head was loose I left the IBIS activated. Suppose it worked fine. Still learning the commnads in the camera, so different menus, but the camera is very nice and I like the colours and film simulations options in the body. ANd last but not least: I love the resource of entering the exact name of the lens you are using, not just the focal and aperture.
Jim, the HC-110 has a smell and the Kodak indicator stop bath has an even worse smell Have to keep the window wide open while doing the development. I really need to do dilution B but that will require dumping in ice into the water bath in summer months and I am too lazy to do that.

Samy, I always loved the dynamic range and contrast of Tri-X, but HC-110 worked great and had an awful distinctive smell.

Cool Scott, you will be giving Colin company once the D70 has been IR'd. I really like those pics!

Have been playing around with a 43-86 AI today. Adapted nicely to the Fotasy Z adapter. Took a couple shots on the Z6, and was thinking of doing a compare with the 85 1.8S, but decided not to embarrass this venerable lens
f/8 was better than f/5.6 or f/3.5 (goodness gracious! ) but even stopped so far down it was struggling to pull out sharpness beyond the central part of the frame. But I like the ergonomics, very smooth pull in/out zoom to go along with the normal focal length and aperture mechanisms.
