I was doing some napkin calculations and a M to Z adapter stacked with a Nikon S to M, with the 2.8cm Nikon S rangefinder lens actually comes in shallower than the special edition 28mm/2.8. So using the old Nikon S lenses still makes it a very small package compared to FTZ and F mount glass.
IF you wanted to adapt manual focus glass that is.
I see this camera with kit lens as a great “out with the family” camera. And useful for small video projects.

Makes sense. The Nikon rangefinder glass would really look nice on this cam. I like your speed booster thought more though
I wonder how the Zfc is going down with the hardcore Nikon fanboys? ... I bet they're all reliving the Df release glory days!
Looks like a FM clone to me. I have had the FM, FM2 black body, and two F3HP. The FM was reliable, and had a worn - almost loose feel from massive use. Died from shutter failure. The FM2 was stolen, and the two F3HPs had a much more precise feel. I preferred the F3HP - anyway, one of you should snag an FM to shot with your MF nikkors. Minty one HERE

FM was my first 35mm SLR. 40 years later, I still have it. A couple bruises but it still hangs in there. I need to get it out and shoot a roll.
Looking at DP's initial impression photos on the Zfc and there was a shadow on the top of the shutter release. For a moment I thought they had added back a cable release - but a different article's photos disabused me of that false hope. Afraid that's a deal breaker for me.
Waiting for the PG-2 focusing stage to arrive in the mail. I found one with the same
problem as this video HERE missing the camera mounting screw. (1/4 20 nc thread) I already have a dozen potential replacements in my Amazon wish list. Seems all roads lead to Nikon equipment purchases.

Oh wait, it can do selfies too? I am not buying anything that does selfies!
I do like the fully articulating rear LCD, and the optional choices for the camera. Hmmm what am I talking myself into.
Try not to think of them as selfies, Samy - it's about time you launched your YouTube channel on using Nikon MFG on every camera there is I look forward to the "how to" videos
Peter the how to videos will be simple, just live feed of me spending an inordinate amount of time on e'bay and keh and other sites looking for deals

And today on the plains of the Serengeti, our intrepid explorer gazes unto the flock of the carnivorous desert geese, knowing that if spotted she would be their foie gras...

It does look like an FM clone. Great job by Nikon. I wont buy it but I’m glad it exists Holding out hope for a FF version.
I have 2 x FM2n’s, an FE2 & an F3HP. All still work perfectly. The FE2 was professionally CLA’d and is in Top Mint++++ condition
Only ever use the F3HP now as I love the VF in conjunction with a DK-17M. There’s something magical about the F3HP. I don’t know what it is but it just feels really special when you use it. More so than any other Nikon film cam I’ve ever used.
My FE2 is now pretty much always out on loan to someone. I never miss an opportunity to try and convert people to film and NMF lenses. I usually give them a crash course and give them the cam along with the 24/2.8, 35/2, 50/1.4 & 105/2.5.
It’s pretty amusing speaking with younger people and their views on film. We (most of us less young people anyway) see it as a format we used to use that’s now been superseded, but many of the youngsters have just never used film before … ever. It’s a totally different connection for them. I think it’s easier to get hooked on film in HK though, as you still have labs everywhere that will develop your film in under an hour.
Most of my raspberries went to waste this year. Too dangerously hot to be outside and pick them — 116 degrees on Monday, the hottest ever recorded here. There were 45 heat related deaths in Portland this past weekend.

The Zfc is an awesome looking camera that looks very well executed. I will have to stop by B&H when available and play with it. Great job by Nikon and hope is a huge seller for them. Not crazy about using adapters for F mount lenses but been using them for may moons on X-E1 and have become accustomed to them.
Thanks, George. Silver Efex Pro s a great piece of software that sure comes in handy at times. Have not used the new version and have not seen any mention that it is a must do upgrade.
Excellent B&W photographs the last couple of pages.

The Tower Optical Company, ran across this name many times while hunting down the 5cm f/2 ltm.
