Sorry for the long delay, works been busy and been a bit distracted. No effect to focal length. Most decent adapters are a hair short to ensure infinity focus is preserved. In theory it can affect performance of CRC lenses, in practice I’ve never seen an effect. Also, some think multiple adapters make tilt etc worse, believe Roger Cicala showed that differences cancel each other out to an extent, so not much downside to stacking adapters.

So you're using 2 adapters at a time? What effect does this have on focal length? I understand the whole aesthetics issue, that's one of the things I don't like about the Z-mount, size.
I'm used to having no EXIF data on my Fuji, so that part wouldn't bother me.
We took a day trip to the zoo last week, first time there, girls loved it and slept well on the way home. That’s a hike round trip from the main entrance to the bottom and back for kids! No MF shots, carried the 200-500 all day which might be longer than needed. Look forward to seeing what you got.

Thanks Ray. I am really happy with the R72 lens filter. And the high ISO performance of the monochrome sensor (ISO320 base ISO) still allows for handheld friendly shutter speeds. That barn shot was ISO3200 1/30sec.
I am going to take Thursday off of work and go to the NC Zoo for the first time since the day before lock down last March. I have shot the zoo dozens of times, but have never shot it in black and white only. So going to take the monochrom kit this time and throw in the IR filter to see if I can get anything interesting.
So nice to be able to get out again!
Nice job with the tubes on the 85H. I like the spiral perspective of that shot. Like looking down a spiral staircase.
Guess I better post a picture after finally getting caught up. 50-135 (thanks George) and 6T. Need to try the 5T too, on the 50mm side it had an interesting effect on IQ.

Some picture of - not with - MF Nikkors. Thought it might be interesting for some in this thread how these lenses look adapted to a Z - in this case with the Shoten adapter, which I think looks much better than the FTZ and is very well made. 0 wobbling, at least on my copy.
In terms of performance, I've only really tried the 105mm f/2.5 so far which is super sharp on the Z7 at f/8 (maybe already from f/5.6, didn't really test that but used it for focusing). From some early tests it looks like the 50mm f/2.0 H is also very sharp stopped down to f/5.6-f/8.0 and the 28mm f/2.8 Ai-S is also pretty good. Need to do more tests with these two though.
I really had lower expectations given the pixel count of the Z7, but looks like all these lenses are more than usable for landscapes.

The multi-coated h.c 50/2 would make a nice companion to the h.
Don't know if I can justify owning two lenses with the same optical formula... I'm considering to add a 50mm f/1.4 AI-S to the set though. Maybe a bit boring, but would be a good fit to the other two AI-S lenses and matches the look of the adapter better
Just remembered that I have a Helios 44-2 in Nikon F mount as well. One more lens to test at some point
Many nice images on the last few pages - the MFNG-thread is doing fine it seems.
The Caterpillar-radiator-grill is a nice catch, Leighton. Your car-shots are always loaded with some kind of magic, Rafael. Lovely images with your Bronica, Dean. Jose, it was a hard job for my aging eyes to spot the photog in your camo-selfie...
Good to see the love for „old Nikon glass” is alive over here in Germany too, Felix.
I have shot a bit with MF-Nikon-glass on film the last weeks, but nothing realy special to show.
Last (this) week was not a good one for me too (car trouble and other plagues), but at least I got my first LF-Nikkor. Its's a well used 90/4.5 SW-Nikkor.
Yesterday evening I've shot the first two sheets of 4x5-Fomapan with it. Nothing special, just a building around the corner.
Framing is a bit sloppy too - but the lens did well.
Shot one image stopped down to f/16-22 and one at about f/5.6-8.
The upper regions are soft, no surprise for as this was shot stopped down just one aperture-stop and shifted 38mm up.
The other image taken at f/16-22 is really, really sharp all over the frame, but lacking the seagull ;-)
Insane pictures on Page 1347 and 1348. Excuse me while I lower the standard a bit. I mounted the 135mm f/3.5 on Z50 yesterday to test the blinky focus things. It's pretty cool but uncool to not have full Exif. I shot wide open so I could easily remember.

It does have a nice draw, especially for an old zoom. George put me onto it, I understand you put him onto it so thanks!
Well, to be fair, Curtis put me onto it and then I kind of ran with it hyping it up on the thread. I've always loved the contrast and color output of the lens as evident from the image you shared. it has an "almost" Leica look to it at times.

Large format birding! Georg, you got a bird in the sky too I have the 90 f8, and its fine in good light but the image on the ground glass can be a bit dark if its overcast. I am sure the 4.5 does better.
Georg, what camera do you have, and do you use the bag bellows or regular bellows?

Hang around enough on this thread and justifying lenses won't be an issue any longer
