Nice review of the use of the 20/3.5 and an interesting website for those film users in our midst.
The Nikkor on Nikon quote might get Steve's attention.
Some bad news on that thread lately ... All the best to every one.
When I am starting to complain about our "troubled times" I think to what the life was like in the past and to the harships endured by my forefathers ; I feel then very happy with what I have.
a couple more from the Palais Royal,
D700 - #1 with 28/2.8 ais and #2 with 85/1.8 HC
Thanks for posting that link Colin. Nice description of using wide angles, which I struggle with. Very interesting evolution that author has gone through with his photography.
I have come across 35mmc articles before but haven't looked at the website much before, going through it now. I am liking this article:
Philippe, good to see you post here again! Miss your unique style on the thread.
Good perspective. A lot of us are so used to luxuries and freedoms that this time is making it difficult to come to terms with curtailing them.

Spotted a small gallery that was displaying the works of Steve McCurry. The exhibit is at Madison Avenue and 81st Street and runs through December 18. I was excited about walking in and taking a closer look but it is by appointment only.
A couple from what I could see through some rather thick glass.
I sent out a St Bernard to see if that wakes him up.

Thank you to all my friends on this very remarkable thread for your comments. Chris, Siphiwe, Mary, Rafael, Ken, Colin, Dean and Laura - I feel as if I know each of you personally
Over the many years since Curtis set the wheels in motion this group of disparate photographers has grown into a very supportive community which has enriched my life and I am grateful for that.
On this subject does anyone know how Curtis is doing? His presence is missed.
These came from a Nikon F with the 5cm f2 from 1959. I developed it with an old bottle of monobath.
Using a bellow with a 55mm f3.5 Micro to convert. Seems OK to post
It is with immense sadness that I communicate the loss of my 71 year old but other wise healthy brother Jose Alfonso Batlle to COVID, he had the best of care under difficult circumstances. We could not visit but spent many hours talking to him at the hospital.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who did a fantastic job of raising his children and was still a great influence on his grandkids. His barbecues and fishing expeditions are legendary, his orchid garden beautiful.
Foncho was a member of a very large extended loving latin family, present across continents. He is sorely missed by many who felt his home was ours.
Here is a very old snapshot of much happier times, he is the one dead center with his then girlfriend, Lya, now wife of 47 years. On the side my sister Carmen and myself.
Thank you for your support during these trying times.
My condolences Rafael, not really know what to say.

I am really sorry to hear, Rafael. It hits closer and closer to the people that we know. Every day, I pray that my parents will be able to make it through this.
Raphael, Robin and I send our sympathy to you and your family at the loss of your brother. Knowing he had a good life and the support a great family should make his memory take away from the pain of his passing.
I see he was from Florida and I'll post some Florida shots Robin and I took on our recent trip.
