A minor upside to the UK's Lockdown V2.0 is that all non-essential shops are shut until 2nd Dec (at earliest) so workers won't have to endure the looped Xmas music. Thankfully the furlough scheme will provide affected people with some salary protection. The festive period is going to be weird this year. I can't wait to kick 2020 into touch at midnight on 31st December but we probably won't be allowed to celebrate in large numbers.......
I don't know about over there, but here, we were ready to kick 2019 to the trash bin.... 2020 came in saying "Hold my beer, watch this"

George, always enjoy our visits to Connecticut. Perhaps one of these days we will end up there and get away from all the congestion.
Great photos specially the first.
Took a drive to Rogers Orchards as the ladies wanted to pick apples. Unfortunately, it was very late in the season and most trees had been picked clean. The good news is there were lots of pumpkins and nice colors.
Thanks George, we try but are rarely successful!
I had a Brontosaurus S2A with 3 lenses, a 135, 75, and 50mm and I found them soft, OK, and excellent in that order. Mirror slap could have been a contributor to poor performance, it was so loud a report when tripping the shutter that I could hear an echo! A true thunder lizard.

D3 24mm PC-E
Re: the 135, that is what I have heard too and based on your input, I will stay away. I am happy using the 135/2 AIS F mount. It seems to cover the sensor well. Regarding the 75mm, I have read that the H-C version is much better than the P (which I have, but only paid $25 for it so can't complain). I may look at the 50mm if I stumble on one, but since I have the native Mount Fuji I will stay with that. Outstanding lens.
I think Samy has a few, so maybe he will chime in.
After doing some testing today and putting some flocking material in the adapter, I think it may be coming from light bouncing off of the larger Fuji sensor. Reason I say that, is I tried shooting in the same light on the Df and did not get the flare/reflection.
But the fun part for me is trying the different combinations. So all good
Speaking of the 135/2 Ai, here is one from southern Va this weekend. I wanted to see how it did wide open.
I wanted to get closer to the barn in the picture, but was told there is a bull in that field that does not like people. I did not want to try and test that theory, so shot this one from the fence line.
Playing with a 50/1.2 Ai-S on the Z7 at f1.2, processed in C1 with one of my own soft color film styles. It's not really very sharp at least at f1.2 and especially when compared to the Z50S at f1.8, but I do like the paper thin DoF and the way it draws:
Excellent choice for that flower Jack! gear-nut wrote:

That loud thunderclap is kind of fun, unless you are shooting a classical music concert
I have been thinking of digging out my EC and doing a walk around with it. Don't remember the 135 or 75 not being sharp, although my standards are likely lower. Let me see what I can find in archives.

Do you have the P version or H-C version of the 75mm?
With that adapter, I could only shoot these Bronica Nikkors wide open. Just checked, the same adapter's still on Amazon. George does the GFX adapter let you adjust the aperture?
And the 200 P, finally on something it was meant to be on, the EC-TL.

Thanks for checking. I am doing a double stack to get them on the GFX. Bronica S > F and F > GFX
It is a Fotodiox Pro adapter and allows adjustment of the aperture. Stop down metering of course, but works well. I came across the adapter a couple years ago used for next to nothing before I ever had any Bronica S Nikkors. Works well on the Df
I am not aware of any adapters that allow direct Bronica S to GFX.
I will take a picture of the combo tomorrow if I get a chance.
