Good day all, just to wish our American colleagues a happy and, above all, safe 4th of July.
The bug is increasing its penetration in SA as elsewhere and in little old Knysna we have about 170 cases.
I'm sure we're all pretty much mask wearers - to my mind it's like wearing seat belts when we drive.
Stay safe my friends.
Echoing what Peter said.
For sure this 4th July will be a strange one given a lot of your activities have been curtailed.
More shops, pubs, restaurants, etc, are allowed to open today in the UK today.
Many Brits will see that as their own Independence day.
It is bound to go horribly wrong in a few months time.

Kristian, got a batch kicked off early this morning. Took the airlock and bung from my beer making supplies and adapted it to this 1/2 gallon Ball jar last night.
It is a simple small batch using pineapple, habaneros, yellow bell and sweet mini peppers.
I substituted a few of the habaneros with the sweet mini peppers to tame the heat and make it more "family friendly". Hopefully the mini peppers will have enough sugar content to promote a good ferment.
After fermentation, it will get processed in the blender and add vinegar to lower the ph for preservation.
Will see how it goes. Only a few dollars of peppers so nothing lost if not.
Im drooling here. It both sounds and looks great. I love the gear you are using too. Gives me some inspiration
A friend of mine did one with only red habaneros, a little sugar and salt. After fermentation he added vineger and boiled it. Sooooo delicious, yet so simple, but also hot as fire....
On my way home now, cant wait to see if there are any ripe ones!! I'll be back soon with some vacay photos!
No filters used on the lens at all Phong. The blue is all natural.

Thanks NightOwl Cat for the sample. Any filter attched to draw blue in the sky.
I just ask seller for some photos, how amazing. More than 8.5/10, I would say 9 conservatively.
Trigger may fire sooner.
It does appear to need a coordinated shutdown and mask wearing, worldwide, but the chances of that happening...
It's been almost six weeks since Memorial Day and the crowds that thronged beaches, then brought things home with them. I got a supply of face shields, so I wear one in conjunction with a face mask at work.

Nice shots from the market Leighton. Looks like you got some good results with Capture One, it looks natural. This is something I miss a lot when I'm looking at many photos today on both Instagram and Flickr. Sometimes a bit twisting is nice, which I do too but it shouldn't take over .

Stay well and stay safe.

Thanks Kristian. There is a steep learning curve to C1 coming from LR, but it does have a lot more to offer.

In response to a similar greeting on another website where I spend time a person suggested that we might consider celebrating our INTERDEPENDENCE rather than our "Independence." I really like that idea. We really do rely on a great many people who support our well being in a variety of ways. I wrote in response about my godson who is a long distance trucker. I don't ordinarily think about him in his sixteen wheeler driving cross country but during these times, I think about the truck drivers making certain there is food on the shelves of the local market.
Even on this thread we've come to count on the camaraderie of folks from around the world. It is nice at this time when our opportunities for recreation are limited that we can snap a few photos to share with our cyber friends and simply check in with one another. So thanks everyone who contributes to the conversation here. In my affirmation of gratitude today I'll think about the truck drivers AND my fellow photographers. Have a lovely "Interdependence Day."
So, here´s a little start. A few shots from here and there on our roadtrip vacay upnorth Sweden. Social distancing at its best!
First hike up a mountain called Fulufjället to reach one of the biggest waterfalls in Sweden. (Due to heavy snowfall this winter the melting water had taken parts of the trail all the way up so we couldn't go all the way). More shots from here will come.

30 degrees celsius and still snow on the moutains.... Mountain Cotton-2 by Kankara Karlhag, on Flickr
#2, Wista SP, Nikkor-SW 75 f4.5, Rollei Infrared 400 film, with generic R72 infrared filter OverhillsMansion002 by Maryland Photos, on Flickr
Both developed with CineStill Df96 monobath in the SP-445 daylight tank. Maybe there's a bit of infrared light seeping into the tank at the top (brighter right edge). There really was a sunbeam beating down on the tank while I had it in the kitchen sink.

In December 2018 I came back to take photos of DDG-1001 arriving to its home port for the first time and I took this test shot of wrecks in Coronado after winter storms, clear air, seven wrecks in the frame.
