That sound great George. I need some documentation on your salsas AND your kayaking trip
Btw I haven't forgot about the salsa for you. We've been on a road trip up north in Sweden for a couple of weeks now. Im soon back home to get back in business!
Stay safe and take care!

Kristian, got a batch kicked off early this morning. Took the airlock and bung from my beer making supplies and adapted it to this 1/2 gallon Ball jar last night.
It is a simple small batch using pineapple, habaneros, yellow bell and sweet mini peppers.
I substituted a few of the habaneros with the sweet mini peppers to tame the heat and make it more "family friendly". Hopefully the mini peppers will have enough sugar content to promote a good ferment.
After fermentation, it will get processed in the blender and add vinegar to lower the ph for preservation.
Will see how it goes. Only a few dollars of peppers so nothing lost if not.

Having gone through the same thing, I can relate. Also like them, I am hooked .
I see the new rumored iMac in your future.
Really glad you are enjoying your 16” MBP. I’ve never come across anyone whose not taken to a Mac after using one for a while.
I’m thinking I may actually go down the same route as you have with the 16” MBP and an external monitor. Pity the Apple monitor is ridiculously crazy expensive. Maybe one of those LG monitors?

Why do I keep hanging around this thread? It just costs me money
I had to look it up, didn't I? And see it would work with my N90s and F5.
Going to bed
George
George - I keep asking myself the same question. I've bought 3 lenses in this latest sojourn.
Rafael - actually you made me very happy with that 10.5cm. The price is ridiculous as always but i really liked that version when I had it and that is a particularly fine sample, which makes that price even more shocking. I'm currently toying with the idea of the rangefinder version, which is also gorgeous, but hopefully I'll wean myself off this thread before `i make another rash purchase. And Rafael, I love how you explain why a person "needs" 7 or 8 versions of the 55mm even though you acknowledge "they are all kind of the same" for taking pictures. I never let a little inconsistency stand in the way of my addiction either. I tended to find when I had all those multiple copies that the biggest difference was sample variation, sometimes a beaten up version took sharper cleaner pictures than a like new version of the same lens (see I was crazier than you, I bought multiple versions of the same lens, you know, just in case ......don't ask me just in case of what). But congrats on the 10.5 cm - gorgeous.

You must have figured out that I am not taking many photos, decided to stick to being around the house and just go to the ships to work.
My processing has improved, I think, so here is a study in color of old photos of my all time favorite car, would take this over a Buggatti any time! (orperhaps take the Bugatti and sell it to buy 5 of these)
Oh and Rafael I wanted to say how much I liked the reds in this series - intense and beautifully handled. I liked the yellow background of your 10.5cm pic too. It's good to see you're not afraid of strong primaries

I'm still around... somewhat
And I got promoted at work!
But with great responsibility comes great amounts of work... oof
Congratulations Chin! Funny how that works... with promotion comes more money to use to play with hobbies AND the less time you have to enjoy them...
I appreciate that between a family, a home and a job a person can be very busy. Hope you're all well and safe. Glad you spoke up. Now we know you're lingering in Singapore.
25-year (at least) old picture, scanned yesterday (Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED).
The European robin was photographed using my Nikon F-301 (N2000) camera and Micro-Nikkor AI 200/4 IF. Fill flash (Nikon SB-24). Film: Velvia 50.
Camera and lens(es) were stolen in 1996 ...
That's one of the reasons we're here George... these lenses are GORGEOUS... and with all their quirks give photographers who use them great pleasure as well. If that weren't the case, this thread would have died nine and a half years ago...
Looks nice. Certainly gets great reviews on B&H but I did a quick search and there doesn’t seem to be much out there in the way of reviews from the usual monitor review sites. None really. Also, thats a HDR monitor. Is it mainly for the video guys? Maybe you’d get more bang for the buck non-HDR?
I’m a bit out of touch with what’s around but I remember the LG 5k UltraFine being a good match. Maybe it’s too old now. Not sure.I seem to remember reading something about slower TB speeds for the 4K UltraFine 23.7” version though.
