Nice shots Phong. What lens/s are you using? Looks long and very sharp wide open. The focal points in the second & third shots are popping off the screen
As you can see in EXIF data by clicking the link, it's Nikkor 300mm F/4.5 AIS
Rafael - I don't believe it, I want to see the receipts. I've paid triple, more, for those lenses and they were in nowhere near the condition of yours. I think you're enjoying torturing me. But, I have to admit, they are exquisite.
Samy - you're dragging around a Linhof Master Technika?? Of course, she questioned you.
George - Love the simplicity of your two offerings. You Know, I was giving too much credit to your Leica for the tones it outputted. I think the photographers talents in post deserve the accolades. And yes, need to get the band back together at some point.
Jack - Yes, the Turbo Mark II Adapter was on. I love this thing, it's like shooting with a whole new camera. I have no proof of anything, but I barely had to do any editing in post with these.
Curtis - love the walk through the woods, great way to spend some time. The Hickory syrup has a very slight smoky taste to it. It's "okay", but I prefer Maple. Enjoy your market today. Actually, our market did $1500 more than it did last year on this date!
Ray - Beautiful light in this pic!
Rafael - I love looking at all your cherry lenses. After all, it's what this thread is all about.
Ben - Yes, I am eyeing another camera. But...I hesitate mentioning it on here because it's the Fuji X-100V. After George's visit a few years ago, all I could think about was the Leica. But finally, reality has set in.
I looked out the window when I got out of bed and noticed a cat sitting regally on a neighbor's fence. I went straight to my Df and mounted a 300 f/4.5 AI-s ED-IF, set the non-CPU register and shot through my dirty window. Then I risked stepping outside in my pajamas, hoping I wouldn't disturb him/her. It was when I looked at the images in Lightroom that I noticed this beauty has only one eye. I heard nary a word of complaint... just the regal presence cats have. (Wide open, hand held.)
So once again I'm reminded Nikon lenses, even the ones without stellar reputations, can produce wonderful images. Thanks Phong. This is the rather humble 300mm lens without ED glass. They are an amazing bargain though the 300mm focal length is a bit of a jungle when shopping because there are so many versions of such differing quality. Often the rather humble 300 Ai-s is presented as having ED glass when it doesn't. One needs to be a discerning shopper to know both lens and price. As Phong is demonstrating with this early lens that has the same optical design as the earlier H version, it is a fine lens at what should be a modest price compared with the ED and ED-IF versions. This is why we're having this conversation, right? We want to be informed consumers... For someone on a budget and wanting length these early lenses might be just the ticket... Thanks Phong for the eye candy...

Thank you Curtis for your nice comment.
Only challenge is to be retrained myself of using nonVR long lens after leaning towards VR facility quite a time.
Who already/going to have Z body will make it shine more.

Ben, I have been buying lenses on e-bay since 1998, My eBay name is Lensbug, I was able to benefit from the transition from MF to AF, when many people dumped their MF lenses, particularly when Nikon was only DX for so many years. Another inexpensive source on E-Bay are random US sellers that come across lenses as part of estate liquidations, those tend to post poor pictures and not know much about lenses, they also do real auctions with no reserve, not buy-it-now postings. That is how I have found never used 10.5cm. Another source is making low ball offers, this last one does not work often but sometimes it does.
With today's tools, prices are standardizing, and the opportunistic purchases become rarer. Finally I set in my mind a top price I would pay, as an example I would buy 58mm 1.2s at $2000 all day, but will not pay $3,000 for one, it is my hobby not my job.
I keep searching for lenses while I watch a movie or the news at night, every night, if I worked those two hours I would be rich by now!

Most of the less expensive long Nikkors are cheaper because the lack of ED glass makes for chromatic aberration, current SW is so good that this is corrected automatically making these lenses excellent performers, the best proof of this are the excellent results of my 1960s 600mm 5.6 P on the Z6.
Way too many great images this weekend. I can't pick one but the last two pages have been a feast for the eyes. When are we supposed to have the next virtual get together?
I was eyeing a perfectly backlit tree branch this afternoon with the 135mm but I didn't know it fares so badly with afternoon light on the edge of the frame. I tried and tried and tried. In the end I left them alone but in the opposite direction found this. I'm reasonably happy I didn't go back inside without a picture. Ugly duckling of a subject but the light was good.

Indulge me Rafael? lol.....this is sheer torture. I feel terrible about having sold my collection. Yes, I used to look every day too when I was in my manic buying phase, still I never found a bargain. I think it's easier if you're in a big market like the US, some private sellers won't ship outside their own countries. Having said that - I've seen some good prices for non-AI lenses lately here in Europe.
Leighton - the Fuji 100V looks interesting - but do you really want a fixed lens camera? You'd have to really love 23mm. At least with an XT4, or if you want small, an XT30 you could swap in other lenses occasionally, like your nikkors. But, I do understand....the heart wants what it wants....
Z6 with Nikkor-PC 8.5cm f2, LTM version. The 8.5cm was one of three Nikkors that Duncan came across on a visit to Tokyo, and soon after took them on his assignment to the Korean war.
I've consulted Curtis for 200mm F/4QC and may buy the ugly copy if it's real bargain. I think I could stop posting until acquisition done properly.
You guys please dont let him know this topic.
