Rafael - I don't believe it, I want to see the receipts. I've paid triple, more, for those lenses and they were in nowhere near the condition of yours. I think you're enjoying torturing me. But, I have to admit, they are exquisite.

Samy - you're dragging around a Linhof Master Technika?? Of course, she questioned you.

Leighton - you're eyeing a new camera ?

Ben, I have been buying lenses on e-bay since 1998, My eBay name is Lensbug, I was able to benefit from the transition from MF to AF, when many people dumped their MF lenses, particularly when Nikon was only DX for so many years. Another inexpensive source on E-Bay are random US sellers that come across lenses as part of estate liquidations, those tend to post poor pictures and not know much about lenses, they also do real auctions with no reserve, not buy-it-now postings. That is how I have found never used 10.5cm. Another source is making low ball offers, this last one does not work often but sometimes it does.
With today's tools, prices are standardizing, and the opportunistic purchases become rarer. Finally I set in my mind a top proce I would pay, as an example I would buy 58mm 1.2s at $2000 all day, but will not pay $3,000 for one, it is my hobby not my job.
I keep searching for lenses while I watch a movie or the news at night, every night, if I worked those two hours I would be rich by now!
