Rafael - when i saw your pic of the 85 on flickr with the title "wrong 85mm" I looked and looked at it wondering what you meant. Lol, I was surprised you bought it since it was not of the immaculately pristine level you go for.

Ben, I would never buy a lens that worn, but the seller messed up, I wanted that pristine 105mm so bad and he sent the wrong lens.
Beautiful photo by the way.
Here is a series of my friends skydiving in Oceanside.

No doubt Leighton this is a less expensive way of getting to full frame... or close to it, than buying another camera. Andy mentioned the tightness of fit and reviews I read spoke about that. Have you had a problem with that... not that I'm thinking about adding a Fuji camera to my kit but it is a question that bubbled up when I was struggling with the Df.
Love the photos taken with the 28 Leighton.
Thanks. The fit is a little tight, but not a problem. I thought about getting another FF Nikon but decided against it at this time, for a couple of reasons. 1) My eyes aren't what they used to be so I love focus peaking and having a function button set to zoom in to attain critical focus. As far as I know, you can't do that with a DSLR. 2) Although there is the Z6/7, I don't think I would be gaining anything ( with Nikon's first attempt into mirrorless) except having FF, which is overrated, IMHO.

Pretty sure the D780 has focus peaking & you can press a button to zoom and get critical focus via the rear LCD. In fact, I think the functionality of the rear LCD is basically identical to the Z6 & Z7. Looks like a very nice DSLR.

They have really gone up in price over the last few years. The 5cm f/2 is probably the most affordable (BGN condition for $149 on KEH right now) and I think is a great performer. I found several of mine at a local store that has a big inventory of used gear. Picking up another in a thrift shop sale. The lens I used for these shots I actually got on a bid from Australia on eBay several years ago.
But compared to the old F mount lenses it is definitely a challenging "hunt".

Hi, George:
They have certainly gone up in price. The hunt is double difficult when like Rafael, I only add minty lenses to the collection.
A few photos from a walk yesterday afternoon. The Medium Apple is so much darn fun these days.
A bit of flare on this one as left the HN-3 in the house.
The crowd empties into 5th Avenue at around 96th Street:
George - I love the hay bales shot. Yes the LTM lenses have gone up in price a lot, you've got to stop talking about them and showing them off - you're driving the price up further. I'm looking out for a 3.5cm myself. `i've seen one for sale her in `italy, but there are certainly no bargains.
Leighton - great moody sunset pics. The adapter's looking good. You're giving me ideas for my XT30. You must have been very close to that carrot to get that bokeh effect.
Rafael - amazing parachute pics. I love the first 3 especially, where they're in the air. That old zoom did a remarkable job.

Thanks Kevin. I think I'll add the effective aperture as well.
I thought about that, but with the extra stop of light you get with the lens turbo, DOF is about a wash.

Thanks Ben. Yes, as you know the AIS version can focus almost as a micro lens, so very close.
Love this shot. Do you know the story behind her?
It's was quiet overnight, I was expecting to see a rush of weekend pics?
Leighton - thank you. There is no story. I wanted to take a pic of the little boy running away from father. I know it looks like they're a ways off but this was the 20mm, they were actually quite close. When I raised the camera to my eye the piazza was empty but for the boy and his Dad. By the time I pressed the shutter that little girl had come from nowhere and was right in front of me. The girl on the bike also appeared out of nowhere. It all happened in an instant. I took a few pics of the little boy running past me. I didn't see the girl and I didn't realise I'd taken a pic of her until I got home.
I have no idea why she was giving me that look - but I love it. I wasn't doing anything, I was just sitting on the steps casually taking a few pics, I was using silent shutter.
The pic makes it seem as if there's some connection between the people in the shot but there wasn't, in fact, by the time I lowered the camera, which was just a few seconds, they'd all disappeared, except the boy and his dad.
