That really is the way of it Chuong. I remember your daughter at a piano near a tunnel in Cincinnati I guess. I remember Nikki on top of a bollard in Rotterdam next to a barge naked "Nikki." I remember Nikki sitting in a bowl with chopsticks courtesy of Chin... the lenses, the places, the friendly and playful banter back and forth. We've really been fortunate to have so many years together, remarkably bound to one another through these lenses. It has been a delight for me to be part of this crowd... Thanks everyone.
Interesting, I'd never heard that they'd returned something for it being gray.
I wanted to be sure to clarify what you said about your Df's cause it was a little confusing if you read too fast. Bummer that you took a hit on the black Df. I will probably, eventually, pick up a Df when I have settled into my new routine at work

You got the models right. I called around before I sold the black one to see where it could be repaired. I might have called APS but I don’t remember now. I did send them a Coolpix A for repair once and they returned it because it was gray. So no, APS does not necessarily repair any gray camera.

Serge, great shot with the 105. They seem to really like sitting there watching out..

Hi, everyone:
Thanks, Kristian and great series of photos.
Roses took the place of tulips in the Conservatory Garden so ventured out to see what kind of damage I could do. Taken with perhaps my favorite lens, a pristine 105/2.5 Ai.
Ken - I never had any interest in going to Florida till I read your post, it reminded me that many of these states in the US are more diverse and interesting than the standard image conveys.
Chuong - it's so impressive that you make and play guitar. I tip my hat to you. Well done.
Rafael - when i saw your pic of the 85 on flickr with the title "wrong 85mm" I looked and looked at it wondering what you meant. Lol, I was surprised you bought it since it was not of the immaculately pristine level you go for.
Scott - that shot is interesting, even the 3.5 version of the 55 has that nervous bokeh.

Not sure about this, but I actually think the new Zhongyi adapter has made my 28mm perform even better. I am totally pleased with this thing and it's great using that lens at 28mm again, although I think it's more around 29mm. The bokeh looks better as well.
No doubt Leighton this is a less expensive way of getting to full frame... or close to it, than buying another camera. Andy mentioned the tightness of fit and reviews I read spoke about that. Have you had a problem with that... not that I'm thinking about adding a Fuji camera to my kit but it is a question that bubbled up when I was struggling with the Df.

Agree with others. The 28 is looking good with that adapter.

Great photos, George. I have been looking at the LTM Nikkors for many moons but they are pricey little gems.
Congrats on the DF. That is the one Nikon body that has always had my interest. It has the look plus a great sensor.
Serge
They have really gone up in price over the last few years. The 5cm f/2 is probably the most affordable (BGN condition for $149 on KEH right now) and I think is a great performer. I found several of mine at a local store that has a big inventory of used gear. Picking up another in a thrift shop sale. The lens I used for these shots I actually got on a bid from Australia on eBay several years ago.
But compared to the old F mount lenses it is definitely a challenging "hunt".
