In an effort to stay creatively active a friend of mine sent me an action preset for photoshop and (if this doesn't qualify to share on this forum I'll remove it) but this before and after was created with a D200 and the 105mm F/1.8 and pp in Cs6 using aforementioned action. I'm loving the really cool effects this simplistic little action can create from photos of ordinary everyday things.

Would love to hear what you guys think as well.
The first shot certainly fits in this forum, and the second does indeed look cool Ani!
While I'm figuring out my next photos for the challenge, here are a few more from November in Southern California. These are from a place in the Santa Monica area where I went for a retreat that is located above an associated open-to-the-public park around a very small lake. The first two shots show the temple on the grounds (one from the retreat side of the temple with the 16 f/3.5 Ai, and one from the lake below with the 105 f/2.5 P), the third image shows a feature of the park from the stairs between the temple and the lake, and the fourth shot shows a thousand year old sarcophagus that is located behind (i.e. to the right of) the feature in the third shot and contains the only portion of Mahatma Gandhi's ashes to be found outside of India. The last two photos were taken with the 28-50 f/3.5 Ai-s, and all are courtesy of my Fuji X-T2.
So far Im addicted to not only taking it and manipulating older photos but I went out this morning with the D200 and 105mm its making me want to just photograph random stuff and see what I can come up with...
For instance this photo is so boring... _DSC2228 by Ani Trone, on Flickr
but I chose it for the colors and this is what it did...
I won't call the police on you Ani. I had to smile though since being able to play like that has motivated you to pick up a camera. In reality, we've all experienced stale periods and have used various and sundry means to rediscover our muse. My first adventure with extension tubes served that purpose. Even things like our Pandemic Photo Challenge can inspire folks. These things also help us pass the time when time looms SO LARGE in our lives... no work, no play makes Jack and Jill dull boys and girls...
That is what this photo is about... called "Hostile Environment." You have to look carefully to see the brave spider in the right corner. I guess he has a great many places to affix a web IF that is what this spider is all about.

Truth is Ken... your friend could probably DEVOUR you without getting Covid-19... No worry there.
Curtis, Truth is he’s gone now. I went out to pick up dinner and an Ag Officer came and took him away. He’s either going to wind up on a big lake - or - a seafood menu! He was about 7’ - 8’ Long. Too bad I didn’t have my camera!

Thanks Great title for that image and yes getting a bit stale with something you love like photography and the gear that goes along with it sometimes needs a resurgence...
Im mean how can you go wrong with the 105mm 1.8 its like the flower power lens
I have to restrain myself. Roses are very much in bloom and every street I walk has them on display. I know it can get old looking at flower photos, but what can I say... I'm landlocked in a suburban neighborhood. Yes, I could jump in my car and take a ride to a more exciting place but I've read the joke about the fellow celebrating his weeks per gallon of gasoline success. I'm at half a tank and haven't filled up in seven weeks... that's about one week per gallon. I guess I should celebrate given the fact Rinie owned three bicycles and NO car for over a decade. Folks in the Netherlands have a very different relationship to cars than we do. I remember a conversation with one of her friend who was married with two children. He and his wife were going back and forth about whether to get a car or not. You go to train stations and don't see large lots filled with cars, you find structure stuffed to the gills with bicycles...
I have to post this photo taken in 2010 during my visit to the Netherlands. One car and a sea of bicycles... taken with the 20 f/2.8 AI-s, one of five manual focus lenses I took on the trip, which was shortly after this thread began...
The weather took a turn for the worse so, the lighting isnt as nice. Leaving the homeoffice for a few hours is always worth it though.
