I really love Swedish autumn - so many cool spots to photograph and just to walk. Strandvägen and Diplomatstaden are fantastic...
Though, the light is scarce and sunsets are early...
Extraordinary images Sebboh, Cavewalker, Krosavcheg and Luka!!!
It is refreshing to see images, that have an almost paint like rendering, sharp and amazing colours. It is not a zeiss look, as it is like a completely different paint brush, creating stunning shots.
Thank you very much for your kind words - Bifurcator, Paul, Charles...
In all this I completely forgot to comment on Cavewalker's peach shot, which is fantastic. Needless to say the MD 50 is on my list now..
Sebboh: Great shots! They all differ a lot in composition and tones, so it is difficult to chose the favourite! BW of a bench is fantastic! Just as the first shot of the fence edge.
Those 50s produce fantastic results. I can't believe how cheap they are....
Very nice use of the 50/1.7. They are good lenses (both 55mm and 49mm filter thread versions) and are highly regarded among minolta users, myself included.
Thank you, Luka!
It is hard to put down, eh?.. Only now I understand Paul's previous posts..
Very swedish colours in first two! Accidentally, those two are my favourites! There is a ghost of a flower spiralling around on the first one. Insane!!
wonderful shots luka (the last is my favorite) and rosavcheg (the first is my favorite).

Sebboh: Great colours, and the sharpness of the detail in 2nd shot is incredible (the spider's web with a tiny drop). Rokkor's bokeh rendition is fantastically pleasant. Hard to stop looking at the photos.
I wasn't aware of the copy variation of older lenses..
Btw, is your copy AF chipped? I had to re-adjust diopter again since I constantly front focused, but it's still a challenge for my 20D.....
No more shots from me for few days - pouring down atm..so keep posting...

i haven't heard anything in particular about copy variation in rokkors, but every manufacturer has some degree of copy variation. there is also the variation in what a given 20-50 year old lens has been through. i've also heard a number of people make claims that different versions of lenses were better (MC vs MD or MD 55mm filter vs MD 49mm filter).
i don't have an AF chip. i don't shoot canon, i'm currently using a sony NEX so all my shots are focused on magnified liveview. i haven't shot on a tripod or in good light with it yet though.
