I bet it will be great at f1.4, but If it is really perform after f5.6,(21lux and 24lux are not) I will lust for it.
Anyone want guess the price? $6300 is my guess.
Paul, Very nice image but not Bokeh. This 90AA image immediately remind me of 55FE Sony lens at this condition.(I have a few samples) I would rate its bokeh in Ugly level.
Allen, super street portrait.
Robert, the silver MM certainly looks great, I prefer it to black, but for street, I think Black is better.
Also I love the Leica website your link brought. Men's Jewellery, I really want spend the money

Further there is a new Monochrome, looks like exact the same camera only now in silver.
Its on the official leica website so looks
It figures I wanted a silver (not a special edition) but they waited until I bought a black one before announcing it. Oh well I am enjoying every minute of the black monochrom.

That silver monochrome would look stellar with my new silver lux... Just saying.
It sure would, you'd look like a millionaire sporting that around
I haven't had much lust for a 28mm lens but I think I'd really love to have that new lux. I have a feeling f/1.4 with lux rendering on a 28mm will be sublime for portraits.

Finally, once I was good and wet, it broke.
all but #1 are zm18. Seems to like that 21/2.8 code At one point I also tested the flare. I won't be taking the hood anymore. Like the biogon, it's really good into the sun.
Obviously some crops, but the widths are all original, except the black trees. The zeiss is so sharp it handles the crops great. I left my frankenfinder at home, so framing was not an exact science
If anyone wonders what the zm18 can really do, click on the file names. If you add "sizes" to that web address, you can choose the original. Very, very impressive. It's a tight race UWA between this one and the SEM 21.

When I had my black M8 I wanted a silver one, when I had my silver M9P I looked at a black one. With the MM I finally had no other option but black and now this...
No, I really like the black MM And since I don't have silver lenses..
I was half hoping for a M240 Monochrom. 28 Lux we've all known about for some time, still waiting for samples. But it seems the silver lens is a special edition model, the production models won't/shouldn't look like that.

Let's hope, but I think the price point will be off putting, considering the 28Cron is pretty awesome.

I find it very annoying because it doesn't lock in either position and always moves around when I pull it out of the camera bag, etc..
Appreciate the heads up Ron. When I extend my hood and twist it, it does lock in place.... Perhaps yours is malfunctioning? (or you just need more duct tape)
