The nikon noct has always been known for it's low light, and night performance. It's truly what it was designed for. For the forseeable future, mine is as close as I will come to a .95 Noct. lol.
Thanks for the examples Paul. You are selling yours though?
I think I just acquired what seems to be Summicron DR 50/2.0 without the eye.
Can this be mounted on M240?
I've heard that it can't be mounted on M8 or M9 with out the eye.
Thank you all in advance for the kind input.
If you go back to some of my previous comments, the 50 Cron Rigid DR, cannot be mounted on the M9/M240 without having the RF near cam modified, otherwise it has the potential to damage the internals of the camera. I had also included photos of the modification, and it is relatively cheap. Once completed, you will normal RF focusing for 1m to infinity, and LV focusing with the Macro range from 0.47m to 1m. The lens is an amazing piece of engineering! Keep the eyes in the drawer, as you have no need for them
Charles, are you down for that camera estimated at 770,000 - 1,100,000?
They said there were only 4 known to have been made, the other 3's whereabouts are unknown. That pretty much makes it one of a kind until someone pulls the other one out someday, possibly, or possibly not.
Someone sent me a soft filter for my 35 1.2 lens (for free) and although this is not how I intended to use it, I managed to snap a shot or two of my littlest who happens to have a cold. I am feeling a bit stifled lately - cannot seem to be happy with anything I am shooting. I have about 4-5 rolls of film to develop (hopefully tomorrow if I can squeeze it in) and think maybe a day of printing in my darkroom will get rid of my funk. I hope.
