I don't think my framing is as accurate as yours but I've just bought a used CV 15mm , that unfortunately didn't make it by mail before Christmas so I'll have to wait for it until the end of the week, that I will have to use on the wild side at least to start with so maybe I get used to working without an external finder, how knows.

Ron, beautiful set with the thanksgiving meal and the walk Always enjoy your storytelling with pictures and can't fault the composition and use of light. The 21Lux seems to be excellent for these situations, filling in the frame with layers but still provide sufficient background separation. The second set on your walk has lots of texture and colors, really nice.
Michael, more nice shots with the 50Cron rigid. I like the mystery shot with the women partly hidden behind the frame. Beautiful shot of your children at night.
JonasY, nice set with the X1. I like the old filmlike B&W treatment on those. Maybe consider an X2 with slightly better DR and IQ? I always like the simplicity of my Leicas but unfortunately for me, I also need video on an alternative camera, a faster aperture, maybe f/2 and some other conveniences for my pocket camera, which kind of rules out the X2 or X1, else it would be perfect for me.
Allen, very nice sets! #3 is my favorite from the first set and I just love the second set where you get much closer and bring us into the action.

As to finders I use CV 21 and 28 mm finders for my wide lenses when I need to. I find it hard to fork out $$ for a Leica finder but admit they are beautiful and probably has the correct offset for framing. The Zeiss ones are the best optically but seem a tad to large for me, not cheap either.

What a year for new cameras!!! The M9 still holds it place, even with its quirks The M-M is an amazing cam, and still exploring it limits. I feel the M-M will be around for quite some time And who would have expected a FF Sony RX 1. Another great cam, but it still does not replace the M9 with Leica lenses!
Shots from Christmas eve!
All these shots were just candle lit.
First two shots with the M9 and 50 Nocti f/1.0 @ f/1.0 and 2500 ISO. It always takes me by surprise, when viewing the shots taken at 2500 ISO, they look terrible, but look totally different when they are downloaded.
The second two are with the M-M and 35 Lux FLE. The M-M is just a wonderful low light camera. The RX1 is also is great low light cam, but not in the same league!

Here's one from work at the newspaper this evening - potluck Christmas dinner in the editorial department, for those handful of us working today. Maybe I also posted this last year? Anyway, it's become a bit of a tradition...
Charles, nice dinner and beach photos. I like the one from the beach with the man and the girl a lot. And I agree, looking at high ISO photos on the M9 LCD sometimes makes me want to press the delete button before I remember that it is the display and not the photo that is bad.
Ron, fun photo from the office and shot without an external viewfinder I assume .
Unfortunately the sensor lacks a bit in the DR department. It's a great camera if one care more about IQ than handling or fancy features, and it does fit your coat pocket.
