Ron, those color are great! I feel you seems change the way sharpening your images, which is just about right in this case. on the other hand i seems add too much punch in my set
I haven't changed anything with my sharpening, still just outputting through Photo Mechanic with it's non-adjustable sharpening option. What I've found is that it seems to work best with the Lux lenses and when those are shot wide open because they have a somewhat softer rendition, than say the 28 Cron or especially the 21SEM, which can often look over-sharpened.
The black level and deep shadows in your set are very heavy, but it's also part of the look, along with the general color palette, and doesn't bother me.
Same lenses as previous set.
Budding photogapher...
He noticed that I brought the camera up to my face when making photos, so tried to do the same with the phone.
Edward, I have placed an order on the ZM 18/4. Now your photo just makes the waiting harder
Ryan, great theme in your set.
Michael, great photos with the 50 Cron rigid. Last one is my favourite.
Andrew, beautiful photos from Hong Kong
Ron, very nice photos. I specially like #3 and #6 from the first set and also the portrait, second from last photo, in the second set. Is it the same dog you photographed lying on the lawn with the 21 lux earlier?
Brought my X1 to London on a business trip. I really appreciated the small size, the camera itself is a bit more flimsy then the M8 I had previously and the handling is ranging from "ok" to "horrible" depending on the situation. The aperture/shutter speed dial on top is really smart. The lens is truly amazing, one of the best lenses I've tried (and I've tried a few) so watching the outcome on the computer makes up for the handling.
Abstract
Did I say it does 3D?
Unfortunately the sensor lacks a bit in the DR department. It's a great camera if one care more about IQ than handling or fancy features, and it does fit your coat pocket.
Ron: Corner performance doesn't bother me too much, but the focus shift is noticeable. My camera fund ran out of money before the 28/35mm hole was filled. This will do nicely until I can afford a 35mm FLE Love the "budding photographer set, especially the ones by the window.
zhangyue, beautiful as always. I like the last one best, the warm wood tones against the cool background is very effective.
Jonas, I really like the composition and colours in number 3.
airfrogusmc, was wondering where you were lately! #2 is my favourite
Beautiful work guys! Allen, Ryan, Ron, zhangyue, Daniel, Jonas, Andrew! So much talent in this thread.
Joakim, Ron, thanks for your comments! Joakim, you will love the Distagon. Congratulations! What finder will you be using? The Zeiss one is the best optically by far, but I don't like the acrylic/plastic outer finishing. I sold mine and bought the expensive Leica bright frame one. It is no match to the bright distortion free Zeiss finder but I like the metal construction and the included 24mm frames (though quite inaccurate), so that I am able to use the same finder for both the 18 and 25 lenses.
Thanks for the information Edward and interesting to hear your view on Leica vs Zeiss viewfinders. I haven't thought about a viewfinder yet but I guess it's time to make a decision although I suspect it might take some time before I get the lens.

+1, and It may sound stupid, but I also like the leica better since it comes in a leather case.
I never leave the finder on the camera since my camera won't fit in my bag with it. With the case I can just put it into my bag without having to worry about it.
Also the slight smaller size, and the silver finish thats the same as the M9P's silver finish are more to my liking. Only the price is a big let down, and the zeiss one is better optically.
Great sets Allen, and thanks! I didn't know there is a German-style Christmas market in Chicago!?
Cute one Ryan - I'm sure the Ultron will work fine for your needs.
Dan, looks great... I should experiment with this approach more. Makes some senses, since that's pretty much what's happening in the camera anyway.
Jonas - really like 1, 3 and 4... particularly 3.
Joakim - yes, same dog. Re: external finders.... live on the wild side and don't use one. Even with the 12mm I stopped using an external finder. Just one less thing to have to carry around, and once the M arrives, may be pointless if you insist on critical framing.
Michael - great set, especially the first and last two!
Here are a few shots from a walk back in November...
Allen, Great street sets
Ryan -Your son is very cut. what a sweet moment.
Dan, #1 really works for me!
Jonas - Nice set, the color one is my favorite.
Ron, another nice set, they looks great.
Here are more from Wuzhen at night. at daytime, I use 50cron all day and at night, I change to 35cron to help shutter speed. all Hand hold. shutter range from 1/10-1/25.
ISO at 1250 mostly. Manual exposure. At the time, I haven't know this ISOless feature of M9. But the file still can be pushed a lot at least in this case if not too technical, I never be
My kids in front of the Local resident house, at which we just had wonderful dinner.
